4 days before we were set to arrive, our host contacted us to say the fridge in the unit went out and 3 coolers would be left for us in the kitchen. I was traveling for a girls trip with 4 girlfriends for a 4 day stay. We understand things happen, though we did question the efforts to actually get someone out to fix it before our stay. Nonetheless, life does happen. We get it. We were told we could get ice from the ice machine downstairs and use the community fridge if need be. While we can appreciate that some kind of solution to the issue was offered, it was incredibly inconvenient. For reference, the ice machine was on the lower level at the end of the hall. We either had to carry bags of ice to the room or wheel a cooler down to fill it. Only one of the coolers even had wheels. So while there was some kind of solution for the problem itself, nothing was ever offered for the inconvenience of entire thing. Not even after we expressed our disappointment to the host - she actually completely ignored our message about it. Overall, that was the only truly disappointing part of the “luxury” experience it was advertised to be. Well, that and the awful one ply toilet paper in all the bathrooms. That was terrible. The property is otherwise beautiful and clean which I would expect from a brand new build. I just wish there would have been more thoughtful consideration from the host as to what an inconvenience that was for us.
