Beach House

Cozy, quaint and evoking all the beauty of Rock Lake, this vacation rental promises an idyllic stay! The 4 bedroom , 2.5 bath features gorgeous Rock Lake Views from the front and direct Glacier Drumlin Trail access in the back! Located directly across from the boat launch makes it super easy to drop in your kayak (2 are provided!) or put in your boat for a day on the lake! Visit local attractions like Sandy Beach, Aztalan State Park, Lewis Station Winery, Tyranena Brewery, shop the "Norman Rockwell-ish" downtown and catch a Friday night fish fry at one of many local restaurants.

Wonderful summer get away

The location was perfect. Within walking distance of the public beach and the nature trail. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The town of Lake Mills was delightful. We would definitely return if the opportunity allowed.

Fun girls getaway

Our yearly girls getaway found us traveling to Lake Mills. We had a wonderful time relaxing and spent some time downtown. The Lewis Winery had good food. The others in our group went to the Pfarmacy and saw some good music. We definitely would stay here again. A must visit place is The Good Stuff Resale next to the Library.

What a great stay!

We absolutely loved this beautiful property! Everything was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and very well arranged near living space with tv. We loved the walking path, the kayaks and all of the outdoor spaces. It was also very convenient for boating and walking to the beach. We hope to come back soon!

Perfect Family getaway!

We had an incredible time here! Two families of 4 stayed over the 4th of July. An easy drive from the Chicago area. The location of the house is great- itā€™s across the street from the public beach and under a 10 minute drive into town. The kids LOVED the public beach and playing in both the front and back yard. Amazing trail behind the house! Lake Mills is a perfect weekend getaway for families and would definitely stay here again. The host is full of recommendations and although we couldnā€™t get it all in, we hope to come back!

Modern & cozy stay by the lake

Nearly new cottage by the lake with a BBQ and good outdoor space. The common areas are great and have everything you need, though the bedrooms are a bit small. Solid place for 5 adults and 2 kids. The beach is a 5 minute walk and Lake Mills is a cute town. The host was very helpful and responsive.

Lake Family Vacation

This is the perfect cottage with ALL of the amenities, fully stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, coffee, creamer, etc. The host is super responsive and the neighbors are darling. You are DIRECTLY across from the lake. There are three kayaks that my teen boys would take out fishing. If you are a fishing family this is the spot for you. They fished for hours. Quaint downtown. 30 minutes to Madison with wonderful restaurants there. This is a must see and stay!

Nice vacation home

Pros: Loved our stay at this beautiful home. Access to fishing behind the home and a 5 minute walk to the west bridge was convenient. Big backyard and friendly neighbor next door. Although they were loud and partying we enjoyed the free music in the background. It was memorial weekend so who cares? Friendly host but my review is solely based on the days spent there. Cons: these were the amenities that were described but couldnā€™t deliver. Also a big factor for me to choose this place. Somewhat disappointed 1) kayaks were available but not enough paddles. There was only 1 so we didnā€™t get to use them b/c no one wanted to go solo. 2) There wasnā€™t really a fire pit, more like a dump for used charcoal. 3) Grill was hidden in garage so didnā€™t get to use that either. Barely any charcoal provided so we didnā€™t bother checking any further. There were also a lot of dead flies, bugs and spiders laying around the home. Not sure if they cleaned up properly. Also after our stay they found dog food and we didnā€™t even have any pet with us. I donā€™t think the cleaning crew does a good job with that place.

Clean and great location!

This house was the perfect home base for our long weekend in WI! We were two families of 4, and everyone had their own space to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed to make several of our meals there, and we were able to spread out to eat and hang out, work on a puzzle, play some games, and with easy access to enjoy the outdoors! The trail access right outside the back was lovely- we walked to Korth Park and back, and right up the street there was a park with basketball hoops, etc. The beach across the road would be SO great in the summer, but even on our chilly spring weekend it provided great views and the kids enjoyed spending some time over there playing catch and whatnot. We also found Lake Mills to be a lovely town! The house was clean, and nicely renovated very recently.

Winter Weekend with Family

We visited family in Lake Mills and loved our stay at Sandy Beach. The property was bright and clean. From our cozy spot we had views of the ice fishermen on Rock Lake. I hope we can return in the summer!

GREAT PLACE!

This beach house has everything you would need. Kitchen is well supplied with very nice dishes and utensils. Decorated perfectly, plenty of space inside and out. Right across from the lake with beautiful views. Stacy is VERY responsive and has great suggestions to the area, restaurants, shopping, etc.

Great getaway!

This home was perfect for our needs! It was clean and beautifully decorated. The location is towards the end of a dead end, which mean minimal traffic. It is located across the street from Rock Lake and has a beautiful view. Stacy was wonderful to work with and very responsive to questions and inquiries - I would.highly recommend to all!

Beautifully renovated home with lake access

We had a great experience with our family (three adult children) while staying at Stacy's property. The house is completely renovated. Everything is up to date. The house faces the lake so the views are wonderful. We brought our boat and had easy access to the launch which was directly across the street. The house had everything you would need including two kayaks which we used. There is a state walking trail directly behind the house. We used it everyday. Lots of people use the trail for running and biking. Friendly neighbors. We went to a winery and brewery in town and both had fun atmospheres. Stacy was easy to work with and was quick with replying to any questions we had. Overall, a great experience. We will be back!
