House is setup well for large groups and especially groups with young kids who do not need constant supervision since they have 2 living rooms. We had four families staying in the house and there was sufficient space. Nice grill and TV’s. Thermostats in every room which was nice so that everyone could control their own heat. On the downside, unlike some houses where I could see the actual owners staying there, this house is likely 100% rental. Reasons for that - cheap/uncomfortable couches, well used area rugs, disorganized kitchen with random assortment of kitchen utensils, smoke alarm basically right next to the stove that would go off when the hot oven was opened but without any smoke present, no potholders, etc. Also, they provide a ‘starter’ amount of basic necessities - paper towels (basically a half a roll), a single roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and hotel style mini soap bars at each sink. We had to buy additional paper towels, toilet paper and a thing of hand soap for a 3 night stay. Owner or house manager was very responsive to messages.

Our stay was ok here. Positives: Beautiful location, spacious house, lots to do nearby Negatives: we communicated our issues to the host company and was told the proper people would be contacted but we never received any follow up. Upon walking in , we saw a roach on the stairs. There was a TV in one of the bedrooms that didn’t work. Our main issue was that there was no power in the living room which was our main gathering space. The breaker kept tripping. Therefore we couldn’t watch tv, or plug anything up in the living room. We had to plug our Christmas tree up in the dining room. After reporting it, no one came out to take a look or even offer an extension cord. We also noticed the hot tub didn’t get hot, only lukewarm even after constantly adjusting the temperature. The house could also use some upgrades. There were broken blinds, and screen doors. It had potential, just needs some TLC. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but the stay wasn’t completely terrible.

Amazing house and host!

This house was absolutely stunning and the location was beautiful. The view over boulder field was breath taking and the property was very spacious. I can’t say enough good things about this house, the host, and the cleanliness. I highly recommend staying here and plan to return again one day!

Great for groups!

Great experience with our friends. Clean house, easy communication, awesome space for connecting and hosting a bonfire. Loved the game room and hot tub to keep us busy The beach access helpful but small- fine for us as we went off for other activities.

great view

We enjoyed our stay very much. The pictures on the website were very accurate, and the place was spacious for our group. We particularly enjoyed the deck and the view of the boulder field as well as the hot tub and the fire pit. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Beds were comfortable, and the house was clean when we got there. The host was responsive when we had a question.

Beautiful location and a lovely property with a great layout. Perfect for a large family gathering.

We spent thanksgiving with our extended family. The dishwasher did not work but the property manager was very responsive and was able to send a repairman. The location was lovely and the layout of the house was perfect for a large group. The kitchen could use some updating. The grill r”needs to be cleaned and the hot tub did not smell good. Also though there were many TVs there were not enough remotes and the blue ray player was not connected nor were there were any wires to connect it. The house looked clean on the surface but we found evidence of prior renters including garbage, clothing and even a slice of stale bread behind the TV. We had a great time but many of the amenities were not as advertised in the listing.

Great Stay

The house was agreat. The perfect size for all 16 people staying there. Everyone loved it. The view of the sea of rocks was pretty cool too. My only issue, if you want to call it that, was how close the house was to others. I was under the impression that it'd be a bit more private. But the neighbors weren't a problem. I wouldve also liked it if the beds were made, rather than the sheets folded on top when we arrived. I guess that's to show they were fresh and clean. Didn't stress it too much, since I brought my own sheets anyways. But it would've been nice for my guests. Other than that, I'd definitely book this place again.

Great for large families and for getting out of town!!

Great location, nice size home. Close to great trails. Kitchen needs some new appliances. There is a black bear that lives nearby, so trying to feed the deer with corn attracts the bear too.

House was as described and was exactly what we needed as a large group. Great view over boulder field, plenty of room in driveway. Only suggestion is if you plan on cooking your own food bring your own pots and pans as most had not been clean by previous guests and are rusted and crusty. overall good experience would stay again

Amazing stay with family

We had a surprise weekend getaway set for my grandmother's 85th birthday. She thought she was walking into a bed and breakfast but was greeted by her kids and grandkids. This house was the perfect spot for a family stay! We left the little kids at home so it was all adults but still the perfect set up. We enjoyed the view (although you are looking at the boulders something made it feel like a lake with the view- super cool and different). The living room and deck area was perfect for large group meals and the fire in the backyard was a huge plus for a chilly Fall night. We also loved the hot tub! All around the place was amazing and communicating with the managers was very easy, with quick responses. We would definitely stay again if the family agrees to this being a new tradition!

Great location and view.

Great stay for the most part. We got to see some jets from the air show in our back yard. House was clean for the most part. Bedding and provided linens were all nice. A Few doors were damaged with holes and I communicated such to property owner and documented with pictures and everything seems fine. Biggest complaint was the old coffee pot that we needed to fix to get brewing and then would randomly shut off during cycle, just slow in genera especially when you have 12 coffee drinkers.The grill was the only other real problem but we made do. It’s was extremely dirty and innards were rusted out when we went to use it and Had a pretty good grease fire when we went to Clean the mess. Didn’t stop us from grilling some massive rib eyes from the local butcher shop. Plenty of parking. Minutes from the lake and big Boulder. Would love to go back in the winter. Traversing the Boulder field is a blast just be careful and wear proper shoes. You are close to neighboring houses and can here the parties around you and vise versa which was hard to see from the pics. A deer visited us almost twice a day to graze and there was a black bear sighting almost every day as well. Overall great time and would recommend.

Bachelor Weekend

My friends and I came for a Bachelor Weekend and the house was incredible. There were so many animals right in the back yard and the house was gorgeous. Would definitely stay again.

Great Stay

My Friends and I had a great experience and the Boulder Field Lodge. It was clean, spacious, and the property manager was easily available if needed. The best part about this property is the location and the view. Tucked in the woods overlooking the boulder feild was incredible. Overall, had a great experience.

Awesome Spot for Guy’s Weekend

Overall we had a great experience. There were a few cosmetic issues with this house but I simply emailed the property management company to let them know it was like that when we arrived. I sent pictures and they were very responsive! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great spot with a nice view and a fairly decent amount of privacy. All 17 of us loved our trip there this weekend.

Disappointing!

Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience at the Boulder Field Lodge property. We spent the entire first evening, right after we checked-in, cleaning up the house as it was quite dirty/filthy. We reached out to the cleaning company that we were told to call if we had issues but didn’t hear back from them that day. When we reached out to the property management, they directed us back to the cleaning company. In fairness to the cleaning company, they did call back the next morning, apologized for the delay and sent over the crew later in the morning to do additional cleaning. The house itself was a big disappointment. Many of the things in the house were broken, appliances didn’t work, and water leaked from the air conditioner on the main floor as soon as you started it - the last part made the stay especially difficult given we had 80-90 degree temperatures. The heating board in the living room was falling apart and one of the toddlers almost injured himself over the hanging metal cover. In general, the whole house had the distinct feeling of being in disrepair. The day after we completed our stay, the management company sent us an invoice for a damaged door - the picture showed a scratch on one of the doors. When we reminded the management company of the less than stellar staying conditions, the evening we spent cleaning the house because of how dirty it was, the issues that we ran into during the stay that pretty much ruined our vacation, and raised the possibility of their issuing a partial refund for, they went quiet on us. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience across the board. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this place.

Wonderful family vacation

We liked the property overall but were disappointed with a few things, no washcloths, no dishrags. we also feel the place was not as clean as it could have been. We were told we would have 10 passes to the beach, only 3 were there. the layout was perfect, beautiful scenery.
