The Space:

Stillwater Estate sits on the quiet North Shore of Lake Arrowhead and the lake is closer than you think. A short walk through the pines brings you and your kids to the shores of the lake, where you’ll spend sun-drenched afternoons swimming, lounging in the sand, and making the kind of memories that don’t require a screen. We provide lake passes for all guests so access is seamless, just lace up your shoes and go.

The house itself was designed with families in mind. Six bedrooms and 4.5 baths means everyone has space to spread out, and with 10 beds across the home, including bunk beds perfect for kids, no one is drawing straws over sleeping arrangements. The dedicated kids’ hangout space keeps little ones entertained while the adults exhale on the spacious patio with a glass of wine and the sound of the forest around them.

Mornings here have a rhythm. Someone starts coffee in the fully equipped kitchen while the kids pile into the bunk room for one last round of whatever kept them up too late. Afternoons are for the lake. Evenings gather everyone back around the firepit, full and sun-tired in the best way.

The Neighborhood:

Stillwater Estate sits on the quiet North Shore of Lake Arrowhead, the more residential, less touristy side of the lake, which is exactly what makes it special for families. You’re surrounded by forest, but never far from anything you need.

The lake is a 5-minute walk. The Lake Arrowhead Village, with shops, restaurants, and the waterfront is about 10 minutes by car. A well-stocked grocery store is close by for families settling in for a longer stay, and there’s great coffee nearby for whoever draws the short straw on the first morning run.

In summer, the lake is the center of everything; swimming, floating, and long golden afternoons on the water.

In winter, Big Bear Mountain is roughly 45 minutes away for skiing and snowplay, and the estate itself becomes a cozy basecamp with the firepit and forest views doing all the heavy lifting. This corner of the San Bernardino Mountains delivers year-round, whatever brought your family here.

Lake Arrowhead Village: A short drive down the hill brings you to the Village waterfront, where you'll find restaurants, boutique shops, and the lake views that make this place iconic. Easy for a family dinner out or a lazy afternoon browse.



Coffee & Groceries: Mountain Coffee Co. is 5 minutes away for your morning fix. Stater Bros. is 10 minutes out and well-stocked for families planning to cook and settle in for the week.

Snow Valley Mountain Resort, Just 20 minutes away, Snow Valley is the closest ski mountain and a fantastic option for families, especially younger kids getting their first taste of the slopes. Lessons, tubing, and terrain for all levels make it an easy, low-stress day on the mountain.



Big Bear Mountain: For a bigger ski day with more terrain and resort amenities, Big Bear Mountain Resort is approximately 45 minutes away, well worth the drive for a full day of skiing or snowboarding.



Local Tip: A car is helpful for day trips and grocery runs, but once you're settled at Stillwater, you may find you barely need to leave. The lake, the patio, and the firepit have a way of keeping everyone exactly where they are.
