## Neighborhood

The apartment is situated in the centre of Praia da Luz. Hence, everything you need is just a short walk away – the lovely sandy beach with beachside cafes and restaurants dotted along the pedestrianised promenade. In addition, there are two supermarkets approximately five minutes' walk away, so you can quickly get those freshly baked croissants for breakfast on the balcony.

Why not take one of the local buses to the historic town of Lagos, full of Portuguese history and take a walk back in time through the cobbled streets where you have plenty of shops and restaurants. Or visit the neighbouring village of Burgau, a quaint fishing village to the west.

The west coast is very popular for surfing, with some of the best beaches in the Algarve. This is also the perfect place to use a base whilst exploring the stunning coastline. Walking along the cliff paths of the Algarve is another way to do this, and these magnificent paths are easily accessible from Praia da Luz.

If you are not looking to hire a car, this is the ideal accommodation for you to unwind. With plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, you do not have to wander far to have an excellent and memorable stay in Praia da Luz.

## Transit

You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport, and car rental is available in the airport's parking lot. By train, it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.

Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast), but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can quickly get around without a car, and there are plenty of taxis and Uber's available, but if you want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a lot easier.

You can park for free in Luz. Unfortunately, parking in front of the apartment is not always available in summer, but plenty of space will be in the surrounding streets.
