## Neighborhood

Carvoeiro is a fantastic base for discovering the Algarve, thanks to its central location along the stunning coastline. Just a short stroll from your apartment, you’ll find the dramatic cliffs and the charming Carvoeiro boardwalk, perfect for scenic walks and breathtaking ocean views that capture the true spirit of this coastal paradise.

Whether you enjoy golf, surfing, windsurfing, tennis, or a variety of watersports, everything is within easy reach, making Carvoeiro a popular destination year-round. For nature lovers and adventure seekers, the beautiful Serra de Monchique lies about 20 km to the north, offering unforgettable mountain biking trails through lush landscapes.

The Algarve boasts thousands of incredible beaches, some so secluded and pristine they are only accessible by boat, inviting you to explore hidden gems far from the crowds. If you’re a fan of fresh fish and seafood, you’ll feel right at home here, with an endless choice of excellent restaurants dotting the coastline, serving up the freshest local catches in charming seaside settings.

## Transit

You can reach Carvoeiro in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and a car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train, it will take about 2 to 3 hours.

Although public transport is available and will definitely get you around, it is limited. If you plan on exploring the general Algarve area, a (hire) car is recommended. Within Carvoeiro, you don't need any special transportation. You can easily walk through the village.
