"The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended."

"La Pentera is a unique property and it is conveniently located around 30 minutes drive to the entrance of the Udawalawe National Park. Our host is very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond our expectations and making sure we have the best time in the property. The evening walk around the lake area is awesome, and the hammocks, swings and mini rock climb is nice too. We had our best Sri Lankan cuisine in this resort, the chicken curry is full of flavours and spices. Definitely recommend...

"Ett bra och fungerade litet hotel nära Udawalewe nationalpark. De fixade ihop hela vår jeep safari med en utmärkt chaufför med kort varsel. Fick en egen jeep som körde runt oss utan stress och under en hel eftermiddag i nationalparken till ett bra pris. Såg många elefanter, fåglar, krokodiler, apor, vattenbuffel, hjort, mm Trevlig personal som ville vårt bästa och som tom. fixade fram några öl genom att skick bud med Tuk-tuk. Suverän service. Enkla men fungerande rum. Bra pool som var härlig...

Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. "Our room was not cleaned and we had to call to get service that still took too long to come. There was some water in the room coming from the ceiling, they didnt even try to fix it or offered to change rooms. The guy who came to clean the water, did it with our bathroom mat and then put it back in our bathroom! Our laundry was not delivered in time and we had to call 4-5x for them to bring it. Service in the restaurant also terrible, couldnt get my order right after asking 3-4x. They have a lot...
