Always wanted to stay in a charming antique farmhouse, isolated from the world? The Old School, built in 1860, is the place for you!

✦ We have furnished our chalet so that the whole family can stay there!

✦ The master bedroom, located on the ground floor, includes a King bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers to store your personal belongings. The roof is cathedral style and the beams are exposed, giving a real charm to the room!

✦ The second bedroom, on the same level, contains a double bed and a single bed with a lovely view overlooking the garden.

✦ The last bedroom, also on the ground floor, has a Queen Bed.

✦ Our large kitchen is fully equipped to allow you to cook delicious meals during your vacation. Dishes, utensils, glasses, dishes, pots, pans, and food essentials are on site to facilitate preparation. You will also have access to a fondue kit and a blender.

✦ In the living room there is a large sofa that can be transformed into a bed in the evening, a smart television allowing access to your Netflix account as well as a brand new Elon Musk Starlink Internet system. A wood fireplace is also available for cooler days!

✦ Outside, there is a large plot of land with furniture, a propane BBQ and the spa which is open all year round. You are close to the river as well as nature; you are spoiled with choices for outdoor activities, whether with family or friends.

✦ The cottage has a full bathroom, accessible to everyone!

✦ With the Certification Welcome Cyclists you can expect tools for minor repairs on your bikes, a safe, locked place to put them at night, and information about bike trails in the area. Bike lovers, welcome !

*PETS*
Pets are NOT ALLOWED at the chalet. You must notify us in advance and show us the official documentation if you have a service dog.

*NOISES*
Because our neighbors are sensitive to noise and want everyone to enjoy a quiet environment surrounded by nature, it is strictly forbidden to have a party at the chalet. We ask that you pay close attention to the volume of the music playing and / or if you are singing around the campfire.

*TV*
We do have a smart TV, but we are note offering cable channels.

*BARBECUE*
The barbecue is not accessible from November to April. During winter, if you plan to use the barbecue, it is your responsibility to prepare it and clear the access area of snow.

*FIREPLACE / LOGS*
You have access to the outdoor fireplace, wood is provided. I suggest you bring kindling and paper to help start the fire. Also, as lighters disappear easily, I advise you to bring one. You can buy wood and accessories near the chalet, the addresses will be in your guest manual. The outdoor fire pit is not plowed from November to April, so if you want to use the outdoor fireplace in winter, it is your responsibility to clear the access.

It is FORBIDDEN to use fireworks.

*HOT TUB*
The hot tub is at your disposal all year long, but you are required to bring your own towels.

* CHALET RULES *
1. All our bookings are covered by Aircover, Airbnb's protection. You can be held responsible in case of damage or non-compliance. If necessary, we will use the resolution center with photos and/or invoices.

2. Check-in can be done at any time after 4:00 p.m. The maximum time for Check-out is 11:00 a.m. You can request for a Check-in earlier than 4:00 p.m. or a Check-out after 11:00 a.m., but we cannot guarantee this request and we will be able to give you an official response only 24 hours in advance.

3. It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the chalet. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a penalty of $ 500.

4. Pets are not allowed. Failure to comply with the rules will result in a penalty of $ 500 and immediate eviction without a refund.

5. Parties and excessive noise outside the chalet are not permitted. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a penalty of $ 500 and immediate eviction without a refund. We have excessive noise detection systems outside the chalet.

6. If the cottage is left in a messy condition, we will charge $ 40 per additional hour per housekeeping attendant to clean up. We love it when guests wash their dishes before check-out or take out the dishwasher.

7. Guests are not allowed to book our chalet directly if they do not have a verified ID and a profile photo of their face on Airbnb. We do not discriminate, we just want to know who we are renting our property to.

8. Guests assume full responsibility for any accident, injury or illness occurring in the chalet. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all customers expressly assume the risk of any damage arising from their use of the premises. Customers recognize that they can personally purchase insurance to protect themselves during such events.

9. If more guests than the number initially stated in the reservation sleep at the chalet, we will charge you a $500 penalty and we will request that the initial number of guests mentioned in the reservation be respected from then on. Children under 2 years old are not counted as guests.

10. If you notice anything that presents a hazard that could cause damage to the place or to people, let us know immediately.

11. If you delay the work of housekeeping attendants, at the time of Check-out, you will be charged $ 50. This charge is applied to any late check-out between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Any guest who is still on site after 1:00 p.m. will be charged for an additional night. This does not apply if we have approved a late checkout in advance.

12. Although not systematic, we reserve the right to request a photo ID from all guests for security reasons.

13. A maintenance worker may come by during your stay to perform upkeep on the facilities and equipment to ensure they function properly, both for your stay and for future guests. Their intervention is occasional, usually limited to the exterior, and should not cause any disturbance.
In case of an emergency requiring access to indoor equipment, the agent may exceptionally need to enter the accommodation. Rest assured, this will only happen as a last resort to ensure your comfort.

14. When you make a reservation with us, you agree to all of the above house rules. All prices in this section are in Canadian dollars

We enjoyed our get away

Great place to relax! My husband and I really needed to unwind and our stay was very comfortable.Great shower; all that you needed in the kitchen to cook; it was both steaming hot and nippy when we were there, but the temperature inside was comfortable.The house is in a great location for exploring parts of the Eastern Townships, which we found utterly charming. The beds were comfy, too.

Impeccable

This home is beautiful and suited 3 couple and a child perfectly. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything we needed. The fireplace and the hot tub were a plus and the location, right across the street from a preserve where we took a nice walk was near everything yet in the countryside. (We saw a very large Lynx on the street). We all highly recommend staying at the old school. Many thanks to Michel, our host who made everything very easy and enjoyable.

Weekend Getaway

The property is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained and very clean. The owner communicated the rules and the check-in process very well. We definitely recommend to others who want a weekend away or a place to stay during a wine tour.
