The beach at Les Minimes is just a short walk away. Take the electric boat ferry to the old harbour of La Rochelle, which is dominated by the Tour de la Chaine and the Tour Saint-Nicolas. Stroll along the quays and through the old town with its arcades and half-timbered houses. Discover small shops in the pedestrianised streets and visit one of the many restaurants. Follow the well-developed cycle paths, visit museums or plan a visit to the city's famous aquarium.
