Someone abusing the review process in my estimation... if you have issues with our motel, thats fine, but state them and leave your name so it validates the comments. Really this is not an honest evaluation of our facility.

We are sorry your stay at the Cornerstone Motel was not as good as we had hoped for. It's hard to believe your stay was as bad as you let on, but some people focus on the negative in their life and don't take the time to see what they did get. We only wish you had brought the issues up with us at the time of your stay so we could have made your stay better and maybe you could have reported in your review how well we responded to your request when there was a problem. We normally dress the rooms with the same number of towels as people, but we could have missed doing that on your room accidentally. If we did, we are very sorry that we didn't get the number of towels correct. However all you had to do was let us know about the shortage, we would have brought them down right away. As well, there are 6 pillows in each room that have 2 double beds and we also have extra pillows that we could have added had we known you required more. As for running the air conditioners 24/7, being an environmentally friendly location, we always leave the windows open in order to keep our rooms as naturally fresh as possible and we don't leave air conditioners on all day and waste power. Wasting power on an air conditioner all day is not something we are about to do just for the sake of 10 minutes of air conditioning time to cool a room down. As for the furniture, in those rooms we have brand new 32" flat screen TV's, brand new dressers, brand new fridges and microwaves, new counters/chairs, new drapes and bed spreads, newly renovated bathrooms… we are really not sure what you feel was bought at a yard sale!! Clearly someone is exaggerating here like most of what is commented on in your feedback. Sorry your time here was so disappointing for whatever reason Christine, but I really think the reviewers will see beyond the exaggerated comments on this one.

Just so everyone is aware, this young guest was charged for late arrival and was very upset because he did not read the late arrival policy and showed up 1 hour late. Thus we are now seeing this poor rating on us because he wasn't so happy. There were never any harassing voicemail and the added charges were dropped, but this clearly wasn't enough.

Hi Ron, Based on your comments, we are not really sure what it was that made you feel we only deserve 2 stars, but we are sure many would not agree as you can see. The room you rented was the lowest cost budget room and we priced it accordingly without a fridge and microwave so we can keep the prices lower for those that travel on tight budgets can afford a clean and comfortable room, something you forgot to mention. This way the guests that need these amenities are welcome to have them and the people who want to save money need not pay for them. I might suggest that next time you travel you need to take a little bit more time to read the amenities list before you book instead of choosing by price only so you can get exactly what you want. We do have very competitively priced rooms, but we do list all of our amenities right down to the radio alarm clock so that people know what they are getting! Hopefully your trip went well and everything along the journey worked out for you.

Hi Jan, Thanks for sharing your experience with other travelers! We are however a bit confused about what was outdated in the room as we have renovated all of the River View rooms with a new counter top and leather chairs, brand new Queen and King beds, new fridges, new microwaves, new flat screen TV's, new curtains, stylish new tubs and tub surrounds and toilets.... nothing is over 2 years old as we just renovated the rooms???... just not sure what was outdated in the room as there really isn't much left. Hopefully we will see you back in the future if you are ever out this way.

Hi Donna, Thanks for the feedback Donna. On your next visit I suggest that maybe the River View rooms would be a better choice for you as we have coffee makers in all of these rooms. With all Mountain View rooms we have coffee made fresh every morning at 7:00am and it requires a short stroll to the coffee station at the office (just across the street) for you instead. No muss and fuss, just pick it up and go! Hope to see you back soon!
