Live like a local and embrace all the city has to offer, starting your day just a block away, basking in the sun at the famous Windansea Beach, followed by an afternoon of wine tasting at LJ Crafted Winery. Return to this retreat to savor the ocean breeze from your deck, fire up the BBQ, or unwind around the firepit. 🏡

The Space:
The space consists of single-level home, located a block from Windansea Beach and fully equipped for your summer in San Diego! The grassy yard is spacious with two firepits, a kitchenette and barbeque, multiple seating options for outdoor dining and a sectional for your enjoyment. The master bedroom features a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a full size bed and the fourth bedroom has a twin bed with a twin trundle bed attached. The home has a total of two and a half bathrooms. ⚡️

Guest Access:
Entry to this property is controlled by a smart lock. The morning of check-in, you will be sent an email with the smart lock code and any other relevant details for entry.

The Neighborhood:
Welcome to La Jolla, where stunning natural beauty meets unparalleled sophistication. Here, arcing coastlines frame dramatic cliffs, dotted with breathtaking, multi-million dollar homes. With its ideal Mediterranean climate, world-class art galleries, elite shopping, and renowned dining, La Jolla truly can't be beat! ⛱️

Imagine starting your day like a local: wake up early and grab freshly baked pastries from Wayfarer Bread and a perfect cup of coffee from Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. Take a leisurely stroll back along the beach, and if you're an early bird, you might just catch a glimpse of dolphins playing in the waves – a magical start to any day in paradise! ☀️

Getting Around:
The home comes with a long driveway with room for plenty of cars, and there is also free street parking throughout the neighborhood.

Walk, ride bikes, electric scooters, or drive to explore La Jolla and San Diego's other neighborhoods.

Other Things to Note:
The home, like many in the area, doesn't have central AC. Being so close the coast, it's best to open up the windows from the front of the house to enjoy the breeze off the Pacific. Each room has ceiling fans as well.

Please note that there are Ring cameras at each entrance of the home.

Bedroom 4 has a trundle bed with two twin beds.

Lastly, we have a long-term renter in the apartment above the garage. The only shared spaces between the renter and yourself will be washer/dryer, outdoor shower, and part of the driveway.

While my first priority is ensuring my valued guests enjoy their stay, I have an equally important commitment to the safety and comfort of my neighbors and community. Please read the following list of property rules prior to confirming your reservation. If you’re uncomfortable with these rules, I encourage you to please make alternate accommodations:

GUEST
• For security purposes, guests who wish to make a reservation must have a completed profile on the booking platform, including a clear photograph of your face (so we know the person booking is in fact the person checking in).
• You must be at least 25 years old to reserve our property.
• Check-in is 4PM or later. Check-in instructions will be sent via email the morning of your stay
• No illegal activity or illicit substances are permitted on the premises: Doing either will result in eviction from the property, and may also result in law enforcement involvement.

PETS
• Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at the property.

DAMAGE
• We understand accidents happen. In the event of damage occurring at the property, we require that all guests report any and all damage during their stay, prior to check-out.

LOCALS
• Due to restrictions placed on us by our landlord, and as a condition pertaining to our ability to host, we are unable to accept reservations from guests local to the area (within 60 miles of San Diego). By booking, you hereby accept and agree to this condition and that you'll be required to show proof of residency. Any reservation which does not comply with this restriction will be subject to cancellation.

SMOKING
• Our property is 100% smoke free; including both private and communal areas, the unit itself and any other public areas within the building and the communal property regardless of whether inside or out. You must be totally off of the premises and on public property to smoke. If you're a regular smoker and feel you'll have a hard time following this rule we kindly suggest you look into another property. Evidence of smoking will result in a complete forfeiture of your security deposit.

EVENTS & GATHERINGS
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for noise complaints, parties or gatherings of any sort. Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. QUIET HOURS are daily from 10PM-8AM.

SECURITY
• This property may implement video surveillance in outdoor public areas to ensure the safety and security of all guests. Additionally, this property may also use Noise Aware technology to ensure the comfort and security of our guests.

VISITORS
• We ask that all guests let us know in advance if they plan on having any visitors during their stay. You may not have additional guests unless previously authorized by the host.

FILMING & PHOTO SHOOTS
• If you or your company are interested in utilizing the space for film, television, music video or photo/film shoots of any kind, please contact us via the message portion of the site to discuss details, approvals, pricing, etc.

PLEASE NOTE
• Guest agrees to hold the Host harmless against any and all loss, claims, causes of action, demands and/or costs and expenses that may be incurred by the guests in relation to the unit rental. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. Subletting the property is strictly prohibited.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
• We highly recommend our guests purchase travel insurance to protect them against any issues that would cause a guest to have to cancel their trip. InsureMyTrip offers plans from 21 different carriers, have an easy-to-follow website that allows you to compare and contrast each policy or e-mail details to yourself, and offer a wide range from standard policies to 5 star coverage. If you do a quick online search it should pop up.

La Jolla Windensea vacation

We loved everything about our stay. The house is lovely and well supplied. We spent tons of time on the patio. The neighborhood is very nice and Windensea is a gorgeous beach.

Really great house, location & management

This house is fantastic! Two off-street parking spaces; outdoor space really, really lovely; beds and bedding great; bathrooms wonderful and, the kitchen is completely packed - everything you need to make snacks to gourmet dishes with more than ample high quality pots/pans, bowls, utensils, serving dishes, etc. The outdoor laundry room was very cute and clean and stocked with soap and dryer sheets and also served as the storage for really nice, thick beach towels and beach chairs (and they provide a wagon to haul it all to the beach). We don't have little kids but this property has tons of toys and games, etc. There are 3 things that could improve a great house to a fantastic house: first, additional/nicer bath towels, second, Air Conditioning (we missed this on the listing - that it did not have AC - BUT ... the breezes off beautiful Windansea beach, 2 blocks away, made everything okay), and, third, an additional outdoor umbrella for the AHHHH-mazing patio would have been really nice to have. With that said, the people who are managing this property are 2nd to none. Every question responded to, basically in real time, was so nice (and really, we only had one single issue and it turned out to be a false alarm on our part). It was a wonderful property and experience. We definitely highly recommend!
