The people who worked there were great, the room was decent for a night or twobut it was so loud outside that we couldn’t sleep. We had to quickly book this due to cancellation from our other hotel but had to find some where else to go to. The air conditioning wasn’t very strong and it ran into the shower so the shower floor was always wet and it felt unclean.

The staff at this place were fantastic, very helpful & family oriented people. This is a minimalistic hotel, we did not like the bathroom, the sink & mirror are out of whack, hot water was a problem, even after they supposedly fixed it, there was barely any hot water. This hotel is located in the heart of things, very convenient to go to restaurants, stores, attractions. They were in the middle of renovating this place, so hopefully in a months time (around April 2024), they will have resolved some of the problems

They only give two thin towels. The rooms are humid so the towels do not dry and you cannot ask for more. They do not replace the foot towel. The walls are not soundproof so you can easily hear loud neighbors. One day, they locked the parking gate so we could not get back in. They give breakfast (made to order) at La Vid Steakhouse from 7-11am, which was very nice. They have access to three thermal resorts from 9am-9pm (relax termalitas, termalitas de arenal, termales los laureles). You have to bring your own towel to the thermal pools. They have a small gravel parking lot which is very hard to park in. The location is nice and near a lot of restaurants and markets.

Excellent location with a variety of dining, shopping and tour info within close proximity. Rooms were verry outdated and room amenities were almost non-existent, rooms were air-conditioned, however, construction on addition to property was very loud during the day and late into 2nd night of stay, construction debris, although confined to one area, was visible, most parking would be on street, courtyard is covered with large gravel making lugging suitcase hard, but staff were very friendly, large entrance gate locked at 8 pm, so I felt safe. Any room issues were taken care of promptly. Street running in front of hotel is busy and near a main intersection, so a bit noisy. Not sure if i would stay here again.

The staff was wonderful. The room was large. There were doing loud construction/destruction every day, but stopped at 4pm. There was almost no hot water, tepid at best. The springs in the beds were so exposed that it hurt your knees to crawl across. After complaining they agreed to change to mattress. It was a big improvement. There is a nice seating area and it was easy to meet other guests who were all lovely. There were two restaurants to choose from for breakfast. They were both good. We only used the thermal pool once, but other guests spoke very highly of them.

Comfort Inn style hotel
This hotel is right in middle of town close to shops and restaurants, but the downside is it’s right on a highway with lot of traffic noise, day and night, bring ear plugs. The hotel was very clean and service was excellent and convenient to everything. Included was breakfast at a nearby steak place that we didn’t try. We tried one of the hot thermal places but it’s a bit far so didn’t use the other days.

Stayed here two nights and that was plenty…. The location, complimentary breakfast and hot spring passes made it a great value for the price but it was quite noisy being so centrally located and the beds/pillows were not very comfortable. The toilet also did not flush well and plumbing was noisy through the night. It’s a very modest hotel with no frills but I would definitely recommend this place as a great landing spot in La Fortuna - everything was walkable and easy to get around. We thoroughly enjoyed our passes to Relax Termalitas hot springs.

Nice Comfort Hotel for Family.
By appearance from outside it is not impressive. Very small hotel with limited parking space. But rooms are bigger. All required amenities are there. Service from front desk team was excellent. Location is superb, in mid of everything you need to stay in La Fortuna. Provided Hot spring resort's pass for all the days. We explored new hot spring location every day.

Small Nice Hotel - Value for Money
It was nice stay. 3 of us had 3 beds in room. All basic amenities like coffee maker, fridge etc were there. There was a small balcony as well. It looks like family managed and all of them were very cooperative with always smiley face. They tried to provide personal touch in service and advised right things to do. They also provided good breakfast and hot spring coupon included in stay. They have tried up with three different hot springs resorts. In two evenings we have tried two. Both were big, good and well maintained.

The hotel is located right at the edge of the town, so its within walking to all the restaurants and bars. You get what you pay for here, so with that being said, its pretty clean, but there is construction going on at the property. The family that runs it are very nice and very helpful in providing information and booking some activities. They had a nice little seating area just outside our room, as all rooms have this, which was pleasant. The free voucher to the hot springs was a bonus, so that made up for it not being an upper scale place, plus they give out a breakfast voucher, and the place had good food.

The hot springs that they advertised was actually far from the property. The breakfast that was included was actually only a few dollars towards a breakfast at a neighborhood spot. Not enough to cover. And there was construction going on daily on the property

So not gonna lie this place looks sketchy, but overall would stay again. Our bathroom had issues (didn’t flush at times but just had to jiggle the lever a little and it worked) and had to lock the gate after 8 pm when office closed ( it was a padlock) Tight parking but we made it work. HOWEVER! The customer service we got from the son was outstanding! So kind and that goes a long way! We had free great breakfast passes for across the street for up $3,500 colones easily covered all cost! We then were given a choice of 3 hot spring parks to visit for free! You get a free pass for each day you stayed! Location was smack in the middle of the town center! So worth it!! We will stay again ppl were so nice.

The staff was awesome. Basic room with hard beds. Need to bring your own shampoo & conditioner. The included breakfast was great & you get to.order off the menu. The included daily passes to the hot springs resorts was amazing & there is free gated parking at the motel. Great location in the middle of town.

Staff and the owner were very attentive and accommodating. This hotel is centrally located and very walkable to many restaurants and shops. Although it is a simple hotel, it is clean, and in decent condition. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting La Fortuna and wanting to stay where it is very walkable. I would definitely stay here again when returning in the future.

Overall we really enjoyed this location. The staff was really hospitable and answered all of our questions. They have parking in the property although there is also plenty on the street. The free breakfast is across the street. We enjoyed the food there. The thermal pools are about a 7-10 min drive away from the property. You have three options for each day you choose to go. We enjoyed termalitas de arenal. Uber is cheap to go but not reliable late at night (9pm). Also if you need any extra towels or anything the staff will happily supply it. You have to bring your own shampoo and body wash or you can buy it at the many stores on the block and around the corner. The location was great. Many restaurants and shops in the area. Not a fancy hotel but had everything we needed. I would recommend this location

This hotel was perfect for our family of 4. We had a room with a double and 2 single beds. The AC was great! It was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast that’s included was right across the street at a nice restaurant with 4 choices of breakfast with coffee and OJ included. We went to 2 different hot springs (tickets included with the hotel) and were thrilled! We felt like it was an amazing value for our 2 nights in La Fortuna.

We stayed as a family of 4 and loved being in the hub of the town’s restaurants. The rooms themselves are very basic but we didn’t spend much time in them. We stayed 2 nights and were given a voucher for free entry into 2 different hot springs each night. The breakfast is at the steakhouse across the street and it was good too. Our only complaint was the traffic noise starts early in the morning and can be loud if you aren’t used to it.

Amazing location! This hotel is located in the heart of La Fortuna and is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The staff at Hotel FAS are what make this hotel so great. They will book any excursion for you and coordinate transportation. The hotel also includes free entry to 3 natural hot springs which was perfect after a busy day of hiking!

Staff very friendly and extremely helpful when needed any type of assistance. As for the rooms, ours was very humid, the beds are very old and not comfortable, no fridge- only a freezer and the tv had poor signal. No one came to replace towels or clean the room at all during our stay. The staff was the redeeming thing during our stay. Very nice people that run the hotel.

Die Familie die das Hotel führt ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist auch praktisch. Kann aber auch mal lauter sein. Die Matratzen sind leider total durchgelegen und müssen unbedingt erneuert werden! Es gibt auch keinen Matratzenschoner. Das Bettuch ist zu klein und ist ständig hochgerutscht. Das fanden wir unhygienisch! Das Bad könnte auch mal eine Grundreinigung vertragen. Es gab pro Person leider nur ein Handtuch. Das Frühstück findet im Restaurant gegenüber statt. War aber ganz passabel.

They are wonderful hosts, very friendly, and have a delightful little hotel with parking right in the middle of town.

Suite à un problème d'hôtel, Ebookers nous a réservé cette chambre. L'hôtel est en plein centre et le personnel très gentil. De plus, nous avons bénéficié de deux entrées pour les bains thermaux de la région, compris dans le prix de la chambre.
