This is a self-service hotel. The reception counter is located conveniently next to Kyoto station. They let us check in early and drop off our luggage and even allowed us to take the shuttle early.
I appreciated the shuttle service, though it is only from the reception counter to the hotel, not a roundtrip deal.
It is appreciated that they have a room on-site for you to store luggage after checking out as well.
This is a very spacious property. Basically a studio apartment. We liked having in-room laundry, the drying feature for the bathroom was nice. The room heater was also nice. There is also a kitchenette where you can cook should you so choose and plates and cooking utensils as well.
Appreciated the ice tray and mini fridge. One small thing was that I accidentally left a thermos with a perishable item in the mini fridge and housekeeping emptied the contents, mistaking it as ice. The property did offer to replace the contents but the item wasn't replaceable. My partner also left his water bottle and it was nice that they were able to ship my empty thermos and his empty water bottle to Tokyo for us, for a small fee.
The neighborhood has nice access to food and points of interests. I would stay here again, but definitely would triple check that I have all my possessions next time. It was definitely on me to leave it behind.
