I never received the check-in information. I contacted the host multiple times within the month before. I also contacted VRBO multiple times and was told to wait. A customer service rep called the day before our departure and said that if I didn’t receive my information that my stay would be refunded and a new accommodation would be covered. They also tried contacting host with no response. All my family arrives and we have no accommodations. Instead of spending time enjoying my family, I had to sit on hold for 30 minutes. I am now paying for international calling to resolve the situation. That cost me more money. Although I had a case number, every customer service rep started at the very beginning trying to call the host while I pay to sit on hold. By the time they were able to help with new accommodations, most were no longer available. My chosen accommodation was within walking distance from the mall so everyone could go as they wish. Every accommodation they tried to rebook was a 20 minute taxi ride away. More expense! Finally I was told to book my own stay and send the confirmation and they would cover the difference. No longer will they pay for the new reservation. I book a new location, send the information as requested. I have not received any more contact so I will have to fight for the reimbursement. Never again VRBO!
