Vacation apartment "Still Hörn 1" in Greetsiel (approx. 30 sqm / 2 persons)

The "Still Hörn 1" vacation rental (approx. 30 m² / 2 people), lovingly furnished in a country house style, is located in a quiet area of Greetsiel near the dike.
This cozy attic apartment was renovated in late 2024. The light-colored walls and white interior doors create a pleasant living atmosphere.

The apartment features a small entryway; to the left, a door leads to the fully equipped kitchen with a dining area. It is equipped with: a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a microwave, a glass-ceramic cooktop with oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, a blender, and an egg cooker
A connecting door leads to the living-sleeping area, which features a cozy seating area, a TV (with Blu-ray player), stereo system, a wardrobe, a dresser, and the sleeping area (double bed: 2 mattresses, each 90 cm wide). Wi-Fi with guest access (browsing and email) is available to you free of charge.
From there, a door leads to the naturally lit bathroom with a shower. A mirror, a sink, and a wall cabinet for storing your personal belongings round out the comfortable atmosphere in the bathroom.

The closet in the entryway contains various cleaning supplies (broom, vacuum cleaner, etc.) as well as an iron and an ironing board, which are available for your use—along with the guests of the other two vacation apartments.
In this cabinet, you’ll also find a first-aid kit and a fire extinguisher.

In the garden area reserved exclusively for guests (currently under construction) to the right of the main entrance, you’ll find a covered patio (facing southwest). You can use the garden furniture provided there to enjoy the sun on relaxing days and evenings, or to have a lovely barbecue.

A parking space is available free of charge directly at the accommodation (access via the street “Zur Hauener Hooge”).
A lockable bike shed with a power outlet is currently in the planning stages

It’s about a 5- to 10-minute walk to the center of Greetsiel with its romantic harbor (home to East Frisia’s largest fishing boat fleet), its various restaurants, cafés, ice cream shops, and many shopping options. From there, you can reach the famous twin windmills of Greetsiel and the extensive network of canals—which is perfect for short boat trips—in just a few minutes. Also in the center of Greetsiel is a large children’s playground with an adjacent mini-golf course, a beach volleyball court, and a ping-pong table for sports activities. A small swimming lake and the dike are also within quick and easy walking distance.
The famous Pilsum Lighthouse (“Otto” Lighthouse, about 4 km) and the Leysiel Lock (about 7 km) are perfect for a leisurely hike or a relaxing bike ride along the dike. The Campen Lighthouse (at 65.30 m, the tallest lighthouse on the German mainland) is also easily accessible by bike via the dike.

Other nearby attractions and recreational activities include, for example, mudflat hikes to the islands, as well as the seal breeding station and the “Ocean Wave” water park in Norddeich. In Emden, you can visit the “Ottifant,” which peeks out of the “Otto Huus” (Otto Waalkes Museum) at the harbor. From the Emden harbor, you can also take a ferry to the island of Borkum several times a day.
