Grachtenkate - Fantastic vacation home right on the water

Located right in Greetsiel in the so-called Greetsiel Canal District, just a few steps from the harbor and town center, this beautiful canal house for up to 7 people with an outdoor sauna sits on a gorgeous canal lot.

This (double) cottage with its beautiful rounded gable has a garden right on the canal, so you can set off immediately from your own dock in the provided paddleboat (boat availability only from April through October and subject to change; use at your own risk) and set off immediately from your own dock to explore Greetsiel and East Frisia.

The house is very tastefully, high-quality, and fully furnished. On the first floor is the spacious living/dining room (50-inch flat-screen TV, DVD player, stereo with CD player and MP3 capability, and built-in iPod dock) with a large kitchenette featuring an induction cooktop, oven, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, egg cooker, hand blender, Senseo coffee maker, electric kettle, and waffle maker.

A landline phone is available. (Calls to cell phones, international calls, special numbers, and calls to directory assistance are excluded.)

The unobstructed view of the canal from the terrace is indescribably beautiful.

The wood-burning stove on the first floor, a cozy reading nook upstairs, or the outdoor sauna invite you to enjoy cozy evenings and peaceful moments. The extensive underfloor heating on the first floor ensures comfort.

The 3 bedrooms (all beds 2 m x 1.80 m), each with 2 beds (one with 3 beds on the upper floor), are distributed between the first floor (1) and the upper floor (2). The windows have roller shutters (including the one in the ground-floor bathroom). One bedroom features a 21-inch flat-screen TV with a built-in DVD player, and the other spacious (children’s) bedroom has a TV and a CD/radio/cassette player. A travel crib and a high chair are also available free of charge.

The two high-quality shower rooms on the first floor and upper floor are each equipped with a lighted makeup mirror and a hair dryer. An ironing board and an iron are provided.

The entire house is fully tiled (with underfloor heating in some areas!) and is therefore also suitable for people with allergies.

There is a storage shed for bicycles, as well as outdoor furniture for 7 people, 2 umbrellas, 2 lounge chairs, 1 garden lounger, a handcart, a Weber charcoal grill, and a fire pit. There are 2 terraces attached to the house, which you can use depending on the sun’s position. The beach chair that comes with the house also adds to the feel-good vacation experience. Since summer 2022, two separately operated awnings have been added to the glass terrace roof for customizable shade. A portable fan is also available. The garden shed contains three children’s personal flotation devices in various sizes.

Outdoor sauna with a small relaxation room; use is available for a one-time fee of 25€ for the entire duration of your stay, plus 5€ for final cleaning. A new outdoor shower is now also available right next to the house.

Starting in October 2023, the house can be booked for up to 7 people; there is a surcharge of 10 € per night for the seventh person.

In addition, there are 2 parking spaces available at the house, and there is an electrical outlet and storage space for bicycle batteries in the lockable garden shed.

Rentals are only permitted without pets.

Construction activity is to be expected in the immediate vicinity, so unfortunately we cannot rule out occasional noise disturbances.
