Tucked into the quiet Istrian village of Blaškovići, it sleeps up to 6. Mornings begin with a swim before the heat sets in, while children race across the lawn to the table tennis table inside the safety of a fully fenced garden, and the family dog is welcome to join in, with up to two pets allowed. As the light softens, the pergola beside the pool becomes the place to be: the private BBQ fires up, the table fills, and the jacuzzi waits for one last soak under the stars.

Inside, the open-plan living room gathers around an L-shaped sofa set against a geometric feature wall, with a wood-burning stove and a game of darts for slower afternoons. In the kitchen, sleek handleless cabinetry hides everything you need to cook at home: a built-in oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, food processor, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and kettle. Meals are served beneath a cluster of glass-globe pendant lights. Air conditioning runs throughout the house. With a private washing machine, free laundry facilities, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, a safe, and a private parking space, you can pack light and wash as you go, and the car stays close for beach runs to Plomin Bay.

For self-catering convenience, Market Kršan is a 20-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away, and the closest restaurant is 4 minutes away. The sea is close: Plomin Luka, at the head of Plomin Bay, is a 9-minute drive, and the old hilltop village of Plomin is 8 minutes away. For something unexpected, the Šumber Dunes are about 10 minutes away by car. A walking trail winds through bare, sculpted marl dunes, a lunar-looking landscape few visitors expect to find in Istria\'s wooded countryside. Labin\'s old town is 17 minutes by car, and the beaches of Rabac, including Maslinica, are about 24 minutes away. Supermarkets, as well as the fish market and the local market, are located in Labin. For day trips, the hill towns of Hum, Buzet and Motovun are 39 to 45 minutes away by car, and the Vojak peak in Učka Nature Park is 44 minutes away. On the coast, Rovinj\'s old town is 49 minutes away, the Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč is 54 minutes away, and the Arena in Pula is 57 minutes away. Pula Airport is a 50-minute drive, and Rijeka Airport is about 1 hour and 8 minutes away via a toll road.
