"Very friendly staff at the hotel, they helped a lot and were very welcoming in English! They had a nice dinner and solid breakfast (with some western dishes). At the end I was positively surprised with a free transfer to the station. Definitely recommend. "

"We tried to cancel the reservation with all or some refund due to death of a family member just a few days before our check-in day. We provided everything we have including death certificate but the facility insisted the whole prepaid fees in full are not refundable. We understand the hotel's policy but rather than show their condolences in any degrees, the hotel letting us not just suffer for lost of life and also financially lost. "Private retreat nestled in the woods of Karuizawa! Wonderful host - very friendly and attentive. Our visit in June was right before their hydrangeas blossomed….i can imagine it would have been even more magical!"
