"The staff always made me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was excellent; clean, stocked, comfortable bed and functioning a/c. If I needed help or direction it was always given, including first aid when needed! The location was close to everything but it was not at all noisy. Overall Utopia House was an excellent choice for my stay on Koh Tao and I would highly recommend it to other travellers."

"Pros- amazing view, very quiet at night, beautiful apartment and bathroom. Cons- VERY steep hill to get there. Lots of lizards, bugs (what looked like cockroaches but smaller) and spiders inside, and lots of mosquitos outside. Annoying because I really wanted to sit out on the balcony more but the amount of mosquitos meant I couldn’t so just beware! "Perfect if you're just in Koh Tao for the diving and you don't want to stay in a resort. Everything's on the doorstep and just a short walk to the pier. The studio room was good value with comfy sofa and enormous fridge. I only stayed one night just to get a feel for the area, and it's nice and quiet after 10pm, bustling during the day. Do try the massage in their spa across the road, so good."

"We really loved this hotel! Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the family that runs the hostel is so kind and helpful. The only downside is that it is a 15 minute walk (downhill) to the beach and uphill back to the hotel. We didn’t really mind as we usually packed a day bag and only made one trip there and back each day. My one other comment would be that we were in the room right next to the road and it could get quite noisy at night/during the day with bikes going up and down the hill....

"Bro & Sis place is an excellent stay for a few nights, so close to piers you can see when your boat to leave docks. Surprisingly quiet, nice to hear the waves day and night though. The host is very accommodating, we extended our stay for more diving time with no problem. Rooms are very clean and modern, beds are super comfy if you like it a little firm. AC works well, sea view is amazing for sunsets, hot water takes a bit to warm up but gets there eventually. Safe and fridge are a very handy...

"Great place to stay. The lady who runs the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Her name is Nam (hope spelling is correct) and her english is very good which really helps with going places and booking tours. Would definitely stay here again. She booked the Diamond tour which was great. The tour took us all around the island and we made numerous stops for snorkling. It was 850 baht and was well worth the price. The even allowed us to jump off the top deck of the boat."

"Das Hotel liegt leider mitten an der Hauptstraße. Für das selbe Geld bekommt man ein gutes Resort direkt am Strand. Wir haben auch zuerst ein Zimmer komplett ohne Fenster bekommen, da dieses AC hatte. Nach diskutieren und nachzahlen gab es dann das Zimmer auf dem Bild. Es war ansehnlich, aber nichts besonderes. Das Bad hat konstant nach Essen gerochen."

"Hatten das Crazy Purple, es war sehr modern und genau wie auf den Bildern abgebildet. Unterkunft sehr sauber und hatte eine sehr schöne Aussicht. Man braucht definitiv einen Roller, da es schon eher abgelegen liegt, aber man ist in 5 Minuten mitten im Trubel. Bucht am besten über die Unterkunft ein Taxi, ist 100Baht günstiger. Rollenverleih über die Unterkunft ist auch gut, fragt nur wirklich vorher wie teuer es sein wird, da wir 3 volle Tage zahlen mussten, obwohl der erste Tag erst um 18...
