3 Bedroom Seafront Bay View Villa - Koh Phangan

The villa is located near a small town called Sri Thanu which is located on the Island of Koh Phangan.The villa is about a 5 minute walk to a local town which has shops, restaurants and a selection of bars. Sri Thanu has a nice white sandy beach. The villa sits on a hill with a beautiful view across a bay called Hin Kong. The villa has a nice private pool and has lovely quiet surroundings with views towards the sea. The inside of the house has some excellent decor and styled furniture with a large dining table to seat six people along with a large flat screen with sat tv. A balcony with table chairs is an extension of the lounge and has beautiful views of the bay.

The villa has 2 bedrooms on the ground floor with double beds and air-conditioning. Both rooms have their own balcony and en-suite bathrooms. The third bedroom is upstairs on the same level as the lounge and dining room. This third bedroom has two single beds with en-suite bathroom, the room also has ceiling fan and air-conditioning.

The outside area has a swimming pool , large terrace and sun beds. Its surrounded by tropical gardens and extremely private.

The villa is a recently refurbished modern spacious 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa situated on the unspoilt island of Koh Phangan. The villa enjoys wonderful sea views nestled between towering palm trees and just a few steps to the beachfront.

The villa has a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dining table and chairs. The spacious lounge has a flat screen television with full satellite package, a stereo system and bespoke sofas. Ceiling fans keep the room cool and comfortable. The room opens onto a terrace with seating where you can enjoy the lovely views and the sea breeze from the bay. This room also has a guest bathroom for your convenience.

The 3 bedrooms are all furnished with bespoke furniture and luxurious bed linen and are all en suite with walk in showers.

The master bedroom enjoys the same view over the bay as the sitting room, complete with its own terrace and seating. With air conditioning to keep cool on balmy nights. The en suite bathroom is very spacious and has a walk in shower, cool white tiles and chrome fittings.

The second bedroom also has air conditioning for your preference. The terrace in this bedroom has a garden and mountain view, again with seating. This room also has a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower.

The third bedroom is a twin room with a ceiling fan and air conditioning overlooking the garden and pool. The bespoke beds are perfectly complimented by the luxury bed linen and cool tiled floor. This room has a beautifully tiled en suite bathroom with hand cut granite mounted hand basin and a walk in shower.

Surrounding the house is a well stocked garden with tropical plants, bamboo and palm trees. The villa also has a large outdoor shower for your use beside the pool. A large leaf traditional Thai sala is also beside the pool for a welcome escape from the days hot sun.

The pool has sun loungers for relaxing and soaking up the suns rays for a perfect tan.

The villa has a daily maid service, the beds are changed every third day and towels are provided as required. We also provide beach towels for swimming or just relaxing by the pool.

Bay View is situated a five minute walk from the quaint village of Sri Thanu which has a variety of traditional Thai, Italian, European and steak restaurants. It also has a 24hr grocery store, a pharmacy, ATM machines, clothes and souvenier shops, an internet cafe, a bakery/coffee shop and a weekly market.

Just a little further past through the village is a beautiful wine bar/restaurant which has scenic views across Sri Thanu lake. This is the site of the former tin mine which in time gone by was a hive of industrial activity. All signs of the mine are now long gone and the lake is stocked with a wealth of fish and wildlife. Fishing is strictly forbidden on the lake to preserve the area for all to enjoy.

A short drive and you arrive at the famous diving beaches of Haad Yao, Haad Salad and the beautiful sandy beach of Koh Mar which has a matural walkway across the sea to the small island of Mae Haad.

The port of Tong Sala has a regular ferry service to Koh Samui, Suratthani and Koh Tao. The ferry journey is half an hour from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan.

The bustling town of Tong Sala is about a ten minute drive from the villa and is well served with shops, a variety of restaurants, bars, bakeries and pharmacies. It also has a night food market for you to sample the local freshly cooked cuisine. Every Saturday there is a walking street market where all the bargains are on offer with many varied stalls. There are two Thai boxing stadiums and various beauty salons which practise the ancient tradition of Thai massage and reflexology.

A large part of the island is a protected natural zone and there are two waterfalls, jungle tours and for the more energetic amongst us mountain walking and rambling tours. There are also various boat tours for sea fishing, diving/snorkelling or just to explore the many varied beaches around the island. Angthong Marine Park is also a lovely trip for boat lovers, this archipelago of island is a protected natural park and one of the islands has an inland lagoon which is totally unspoilt. Swimming is not allowed in this lake to protect the beauty of the natural wildlife and plants.

SRI THANU BEACH
On the far West side of Koh Phangan about 30 meters from the main road lies a small white sandy beach called Shri Thanu Beach. The village nearby is called Baan Sri Thanu hence why the beach has been named Sri Thanu beach or in Thai Ao Sri Thanu. Its got a width of nearly 100 meters and the length of the beach is about 500 meters. Its totally covered in white sand with a few resorts and restaurants at the back of the beach including Phangan Cove. On the right side of the beach you will find an inlet which the fisherman use to moor there boats, this also a supply route or run off for the lake which is further North of Baan Shri Thanu.Also on the left side you will see alot of rocks sticking out of the water and at the end you will see a small lighthouse to guide boats. Also on the left side you will find the late night bar called Three Monkeys, which is an excellent little meeting place for a few drinks. The lake called Laem Som Lake has a small river of water that runs the entire length of the beach, at the back part of all the resorts. Bridges all the way along can easily be found to access the beach from the main road and Baan Sri Thanu. The right side of the beach breaks into rocks with a path way leading to the next beach, which makes an interesting walk.

The water has a low tide and high tide which is common through out the Gulf of Thailand. During peak season December and January the water is quite high and makes very good swimming, low season, the water is lower and most the beach takes on a new look with under-bed of the sea showing for many months. The beach faces West so you always get a sunset and some really good ones do happen on this beach. There are a few restaurants on the beach including Phangan Cove Restaurant that all have comfortable seating for watching the sunset and drinking a cool drink.

Great beach for sunbathing, with refreshments easily found from some of the local resorts and restaurants. The sea is great for swimming during the high season and peak season. The bottom is partly sand and pebbles. Most resorts on the beach have deck chairs outside there resort to use on the beach, although the beach is not covered in sunbeds like European beaches. Massage parlors setup in small wooden shacks can also be found on the beach.

Overall this is a great beach, perfect sunset watching spot and its never over crowded. Safe for children and ideal getaway spot.
