Enjoyed my stay here

Really enjoyed my stay here, had everything I needed and it was comfortable, and clean. If I ever had a question owner would respond quickly and made check in/out really easy. Would stay here again.

Very nice stay

House was very comfortable. The pictures don’t show all the improvements to the home and furniture and we were pleasantly surprised at all the differences. All the beds, the king bed and the bunk beds have super comfortable mattresses. The bunk beds have 10 inch adult mattresses. And the home was spotless. This is the third house that I have stayed at in this neighborhood. It is clear to me, that this location is very safe with kids outside playing and primary made up with hard working families. The covered back porch is where we sat and had morning coffee. Not certain when I'll be back to Knoxville, but I will be checking to see if this house is available again when I do.

Steep Stairs

Steep stairs to entrance and especially to bedrooms Loved code for easy check in. Owner allowed us to check in a little earlier. Nice size rooms. Lots of hooks for hanging clothes, towels. Really liked the openness of the living room and dining room. A plus to have coffee provided. Kitchen was well equipped. No hair dryer, body wash/bar soap, dish cloth to clean dishes or ice.

Great neighborhood, clean place

This was bigger than I expected. Clean place in a quiet neighborhood. Served it’s purpose for my trip. Only downfall was the loud refrigerator.

Couldn't be better

The location was perfect. The duplex was clean and tidy. The ONLY thing that was an issue - and it was my fault for not checking on this prior - is there's only one bathroom. This made it a bit difficult to get ready and out the door in a reasonable time. Again, this is MY FAULT for not checking. Regardless. I would have still booked the property.

Nothing fancy but still good

Nice place. Only 2 small complaints: there was a bleach-y smell in the kitchen when we arrived that I found rather gross, and there was no laundry soap provided. Otherwise the house was fine. Nothing fancy but fine.

When I pulled up to the property i couldn't find the code to get in. It was hidden in the welcome message. The owner answered and instead of just telling me the code she made me search thru the message to find it. As we were going up the steps we noticed they were cracked and crumbled. My aunt who traveled with me had a hard time getting up and down them for fear of falling on the steps. The freezer had mold in it. I had to clean it in order to use it. We checked the washer and it was filthy. I reached out to Sheila about it and she never responded. We went to Walmart to buy bleach and cleaning supplies to clean up. The bathroom was clean. The kitchen was clean outside of the freezer. Some of the furniture was not the same as in the photos. There were bugs as well as a smell. No matter how much my aunt sprayed there was a smell. I was disappointed with my stay. It wasn't as it seemed on the pictures at all.

Great place to stay if you want to visit Windrock

Had a great stay. Place was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy Windrock bike park. Bike park is only 20 minutes from property

Excellent Location for our Family

The Karns VRBO was the perfect location for our family to visit relatives living in the Oakridge and West Knoxville area. We we’re grateful that there was a grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants within a few miles. Leaving snow behind in MN we welcomed the TN spring weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck and exploring the back yard with our two preschool age children. The yard was partially fenced in and open to the front yard and the street. Fortunately the VRBO is located in a quiet neighborhood so there wasn’t any heavy traffic. The VRBO had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking meals and we definitely appreciated having a laundry room with washer and dryer! There are steep steps to get to the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms, so if you have toddlers you may want to bring a baby gate! We found this VRBO to be very clean, we had plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. Our only concern was that the master bedroom carpet, that was covered by a beautiful area rug, was stained and had a strong smokey smell. The owner quickly responded to any questions we had related to adjusting the thermostat. Her guidance was helpful and the temperature in the VRBO was always comfortable. Our family definitely would stay here again and we enjoyed our stay.

As advertised

The place was clean and comfortable. Only had one issue with the refrigerator motor being noisy and was resolved right away. The owner responded immediately and sent over a maintenance person right away. The location itself is quiet and close to plenty of restaurants and stores. We had 3 adults and 2 children. Everyone was comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all.

Perfect for Small Family Christmas get together

This house was perfect for celebrating our small Christmas while visiting Grandma after she broke her hip. It was very clean, all bedding was very comfy. Kitchen was perfect! Clothes washer and dryer were the best. Only issue was the steps, inside and out. They aren’t for the faint of heart.

A nice place with a few problems.

It was very clean and comfortable sleeping arrangements and in a very nice neighborhood. We had a few problems which I’m assuming was something with an electrical issue. The heat stopped working and when we pulled out the space heaters we could only run one because of the breaker kept kicking. The stove didn’t work, the dryer didn’t heat, and if you tried to wash a load of laundry or run a load of dishes through the dishwasher it seemed to kick a breaker and we just couldn’t figure out how to get it working. The last day we had no hot water. We also had to move the microwave to a different plug because it would not work where it was originally located. I contacted the owner and she said she would have someone come the next day, they never came but with it being on a Sunday I understand that. Definitely hoping the owner can get these things addressed and fixed because it’s a very nice place.

Karns area townhouse.

The townhouse is accurate in photo and description. The owner promptly answered our questions and concerns. It is a very quiet neighborhood for sleep at night The cleaning people should dust better as I cleaned cobwebs off the blinds and windows. There's a musty smell on the first floor maybe from being closed up a while. The bath towels should be replaced with newer ones. The beds proved to be comfortable however, and we slept well. Thank you Sheila!

It was a great landing spot to sleep. It was nice being able to cook our own meals.

Overall it was a nice stay. There were lots of beds to accommodate quite a big group if needed.
