"Used this place for a couple nights exploring the Redwoods National and State Parks. Was great to use a base for exploring as it had a built in bathroom compared to other options with communal bathrooms. Location was easy to find right off the highway. Shower and other utilities worked great, just were a bit small but that is nitpicking. There was a weird smell when I first got there but used an air freshener and it cleared right up. Overall happy with my experience! "

"You can tell the host has done this before. Before our arrival, we had all information in hand once we got there. We didn't need to ask for anything - there were extra towels, everything clean, supplies were provided.Great experience. As for the location, it is super convenient as a couple of eating places are a short walk away, the surf shop's downstairs if you want to browse, and the harbor is across the street. Plenty of parking. This is a multi unit rental, and we don't think there were any...

My only recommendation would be that the owner get screens for the front windows and bedroom window. Otherwise very happy with our stay. "Loved the home away from home. You could choose to walk to the beach but we ended up driving to have our ice chest and beach gear. Plenty of items were provided to help our family have an excellent stay. We had breakfast and dinners with the full kitchen. Even used the propane grill that was provided with the grill tools. Used the laundry to help with the beach clothes and towels Will stay again!"

"Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. Even my barely mobile 84 year-old mother-in-law could get down to the beach to watch us kayak and swim. My only tiny complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were almost too dull to use,...
