Birthday
We had a wonderful 30th Birthday celebration for our daughter. The house has a beautiful view!!! The whole house worked perfect for our family of 14. The kitchen has everything you could need. The beds are so comfortable. We even got to watch the snow fall. We felt truly blessed to stay here.

Family wedding weekend
The house was great! Very clean and spacious! The view off the back deck was beautiful… my only feedback would be to have extra toilet paper on hand…. We ended up having to go purchase more. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful property
We visit Klamath Falls every year for a family hunting trip and this year didn’t disappoint. The house and hospitality of the owner was wonderful! The house was immaculate and fully furnished with everything we needed. Check in and check out were simple and we felt like we were at home the entire trip! Will definitely book again for next year!

Beyond expectation.
We decided to arrange a get together as a family of 8 adults and 2 grandchildren. First we chose Sunriver near Bend but with the roads so unpredictable, we decided the Running Y near Klamath Falls, only 1 1/2 hour away. It all turned out perfect. The weather was better than expected. The house was great. Nicholas, the host was very courteous. And everything was flawless. Kitchen was fully equipped. One of our family members has dietary restrictions and it all worked out fine. We chose this also because of 3 king size beds. We played games with the family. Putting all the phones away, a nice change. We went to Tula Lake to watch the Bald eagles and Tundra swans. The kids swam and skated at the Lodge. We hiked near the Klamath lake. Great experience. We will sure return to this great getaway.

Great Holiday Stay With Family
We had a great time at the property and the resort area was wonderful. Kids had a great time ice skating and swimming and the workout facility was great as well. The house was wonderful for our family ranging from <2 into their 70s. The host was extremely communicative and accommodating!

Alex was a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ guest that was easy to communicate with, followed house rules, and kept things clean and tidy. We would gladly host Alex and his family anytime!

Wonderful Family-Friendly Location!
My family and I stayed here for the Thanksgiving week. We enjoyed our stay here and we're so grateful for the prompt responses from the dark sky home. There were 10 adults and we had many questions before and after booking. The listing is exactly what we saw. Its a great location for a large family like ours. The kitchen and living areas are extremely spacious! We loved that we had multiple washers/dryers. Its a great location if you are traveling all over like we were. We didn't get to enjoy the resort amenities like we hoped but we were able to drive around and see the entire resort. Next time we'll have to have more time to enjoy the resort! We would love to stay here again!

Eclipse not so dark property
Beautiful property. Very clean. Well stocked with supplies. It is not a dark sky property as described. There is a potato processing facility a few hundred yards from the rear deck. They work after dark with huge floodlights, stars not to visible. We were here for the Eclipse and had a perfect view from the rear deck on Saturday morning. Great neighborhood. I wish they would supply a written instruction manual for the use of the property instead of just in messaging. Also the main bedroom suite bed is literally on the floor, not good for for seniors/ handicapped which we are. We had to take a smaller bedroom even though we were paying the majority of the cost. All in all a great house and a magnificent view.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. The potato harvest only happens a couple weeks of the year and always happens at night, other than the harvest the Running Y Resort is a “Dark Sky” resort. You will notice all lighting fixtures are aimed down and we have strict regulations on any light pollution. We hope the potato harvest didn’t ruin your stay, and we will take all your considerations seriously. We would love to have you back any time.

Resort Vacay in a Model Home
This home is perfectly located among the Running Y Resort which gave us complete access to all the amenities of the resort. This home came well stocked with kitchen items to prepare almost any meal, bathroom, laundry room accessories and a tub you could sink into for days of zen and relaxation. The patio is excellent for early morning coffee and late night stargazing. The host were great with communication and were very accommodating. If our family has a family reunion at the resort again in the future.. we would love to stay again.

Perfect Family Getaway

Great place to unwind and relax
Really enjoyed the property. In town for a construction project and was a great place to come to after working all day. Everyone enjoyed it and the amenities the resort provides. Golf course was in excellent shape for time of the year and was an enjoyable round!

Tranquility with a view
The house is lovely and well thought out. Has all the little touches to make our stay easy. It was great for a mini family reunion. The community pool and recreation areas are also super fun. We really enjoyed the pool and sauna! Our daughter played on the playground and loved the games. The VR headset is very interesting and now we look forward to getting our own.

Dark sky house
We had a wonderful family weekend at the dark sky house at the Running Y. The open spaces were perfect for our family to gather, with the great room and kitchen. Dining table seating for 8 made family dinners wonderful, as well as a great place for games. The views were amazing and the sunset beautiful. The rowing machine and Oculus virtual reality were a hit with all. Swam one afternoon at the indoor pool and had so much fun. The check in was very easy. We will definitely return, next time maybe in the summer to enjoy the deck.

Christmas Vacation
The host was very attentive and offered to decorate the house for our family Christmas vacation. We were able to show up, throw our Chrismas gifts under the tree and start our vacation immediately. The house was clean, great location and was perfect for spending quality time together.

Hello Connie thanks for your review. As far as “working out the bugs” I would like to publicly address the issues at hand. 1. The pin pad at door glitched on you - we provided additional entry options including a lock box with key, immediately below the pin pad, and gave specific instructions on how to access the key before your arrival as we do with all guests. 2. Our ice maker is too slow - I’m sorry that our ice maker didn’t provide the output your large group needed, but it has never been an issue with any previous guests. Also there is a market about 1 mile away that sells ice by the bag. 3. Our outside trash receptacle had a bad smell - I’m sorry that the trash can smelled badly; however, we can’t control what previous guests put inside of it. We have taken all your suggestions to heart and we would still love to host you and your family anytime. Kindly, Dark Sky House

Couldn’t think of a better place to stay for our visit to Southern Oregon. Nick’s place is beautiful, well-equipped, and Nick was a fantastic host. Access to the Running Y Resort is such a fantastic bonus. Strongly recommend!

Very modern home with all the amenities
Wow - impressive well stocked home. Kitchen was fabulous with every dish, pan and appliance you would want. Even had 2 waffle irons, air fryer and food processor! Large front loading washing machine and dryer with detergent supplied. Very large screen TV. Beds were super comfy and each bedroom had wireless chargers for our devices. Great views and quiet neighborhood. Easy to find and very responsive host. Only issue we had was with Amazon. We ordered a package and they delivered it to locked central mailbox. Post office was great and retrieved the package so we could pick it up at post office. There is a convenience store about a mile away which is also location of pool and exercise facility. Golf course is a little farther and had a senior day that deeply discounted the golf rate. Would love to stay here again.

What a beautiful home and view!
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect house to spend the weekend in KFalls for our daughter's graduation from OIT. What a beautiful, clean, spacious home with an amazing view. Thank you to our hosts who were available if needed (they weren't, all was perfect), communication was great and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this home for your getaway!

Big, Modern, and Spacious House!
Dark Sky House was a great host! Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The house was absolutely clean, stylish, and welcoming. Very spacious and a well stocked kitchen with all the items you’d need, which were all very clean and well presented. The bed were comfy and bathrooms were fully stocked. We could not have asked for a better location near the Running Y golf course. Market and swimming pool were close by as well. I also loved how all apps were available to use for your tv needs. Overall a wonderful place; we would stay here again easily!
