"Clean room and very nice/helpful staff."

"The staff was friendly the hotel was clean There is no elevator even tho they have a second floor it is difficult to carry your luggage up the flights of steps the entrance door to the second floor are always locked so you have to set some of your items down to use the key then open the door and then pick up your items you set down and walk the flights of steps it was very inconvenient being this is the only hotel in the area there is no other choice or I would have moved on. "My only complaint is that on both nights we were there other guests were VERY noisy after what I would consider a respectable time (10:00 pm). The first night it was little kids in the hall running and screaming with no parents/guardians around. The second it was young adults coming in after partying. They were talking loudly and stomping in the hall. I am trying to not complain as much so I did not go to the front desk even though it was 2-3 am. "

"This is a lovely property, funky and quaint decor, comfortable room and beds. We were there during the week so didn’t have breakfast but the kitchen area is super clean and well stocked with coffee and tea options. The owner was very communicative about arrangements and was flexible when I thought I needed an early check in The shared bathroom is cute and clean. If I’m in the Pittsburgh area again I would definitely go back"

"Very disappointing stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott. I paid $255 per night expecting a decent hotel experience, but this felt more like a cheap motel. The room was small and not properly cleaned, which is unacceptable at this price point. The biggest letdown was the view - as vou can see in the photos, it's basically a parking lot with a dumpster area. There's no atmosphere, no appeal, nothing you'd expect from a Marriott property. "The building on the whole is showing some age. The rooms are lovely, clean and well furnished. (lamps could use replacing, simply to make internet and other electronics more efficient.) The staff was wonderful. Cheerful, helpful,lacking the too often disengaged attitude a guest encounters. These are nice people, eager to help, and it was a pleasure to stay at this Holiday Inn. "
