"We have raved about this house to so many people. It was beautiful and spacious and right near some amazing hikes. This area is breathtaking. Working with the host was very easy and they were very responsive. We highly recommend this home. If you don't have a rental car, make sure you come prepared with some food (as there is only 1 pub nearby, and it has unpredictable hours). We hope to return one day!"

"The property was lovely with well furnished. Sadly the hot water in the shower wasn’t working despite reporting it after the first day. Cold showers aren’t very nice. When paying top price for accommodation the hot water should a given, essential part of the service. Plus the cleaners were knocking on the door before the allotted 10am check out!!"

"This was our second holiday at High Bield - we stayed 2 years ago. It is a very special place to stay as it is in a wonderful location. We only used the car twice during the one week we stayed because all the walks and cycle rides could be done from the house. Windermere station was only a short drive away so we could easily pick up family arriving from London.
