Thorpe Park Hotel and SpaLeeds

"It’s a pleasant hotel. It’s a bit expensive and if you want to use the gym or pool they charge you extra. Also they couldn’t provide access to a microwave. Still, the room was lovely and quite big. Very clean also."

"Very disappointing stay, particularly considering the price paid.
The room was comfortable and the shower good, but housekeeping standards declined throughout our stay. Even after servicing, sheets were not changed, the floor was not hoovered and the bathroom was not mopped.
Breakfast was poor in both quality and service, and got worse as the week progressed. We ate in the restaurant one evening and paid premium prices for very poor food. The pizza appeared to have a shop-bought base and...

"Great staff, good location but can be noisy late into the night and early morning due to the surrounding venues, which affects your ability to sleep. Soundproofing could be better. When it’s full service can be slow, we waited 45mins for our breakfast order which was not a great experience, although the food itself was great."

"Firstly, the hotel, staff and amenities are really good.
The reason for my low score was the noise from the weddings. It was unbearable. I was in Wakefield on a business trip. I received an email a couple of days before to say there would be a wedding on the first night of my stay. When I arrived I was told that there was going to be a wedding on both days.
The wedding marquee was right outside my window. It was so loud that I couldn’t even hear the tv which was a metre or so away from me....

"The car park is quite far from reception and all the signs don’t really make sense.
Check in was handing me a key after having to call a mobile number that had been left on the desk. No further information like how to get to the room and breakfast. Room was really far away and I had to carry lots of personal items and was a struggle.
I paid for late check out to midday and had people knocking on the door at 10.30 asking why I was still in room.
Room was clean, slept well and lounges at...
