This is a gated community with the owner living in one of the units. At time of our stay (2/2024), the units were being completely renovated, so expect even more ... The name "The Gardens" needs to be more visible from street.

The property is not well kept, the bushes need to be trimmed, the pool was dirty, the property seems to be closed up for the whole pandemic, it had a old smell, the place was ants infested and the windows was hard to open.

We are very sorry of the experience as this has never happened before. We have spoken to the housekeeper and she has apologized as this was an oversight on her part. We again are very sorry for this and can assure that this has been addressed.

Gently used property, but very comfortable and great staff. It is not a 5 star , but the space is large, the pool is clean, and it is very well located, has bedrooms upstairs and full kitchen and living room downstairs. It is a 5 minute walk to a shopping center with food court and supermarket.

Very private, very clean, great management, very quite... have been there several times and will continue to return there. Great location for the airport. Very convenient shopping, less than mile away.

Hi , We are primarily a place to rest and commune with nature read etc. punctuated by hiking to the top of our hill for panoramic views, fishing eating your catch specially prepared by our employees bird-watching, taking a tour to Cinchona Gardens, and /or hiking to Blue Mountain Peak. Please ask our staff!

Quiet and secluded location in Kingston
Pluses: Large apartment (with full kitchen) in a quiet, secluded, upscale neighborhood relatively convenient to the airport in Kingston. Lots of security on the premises (gated with a 24-hr security guard, security grills on all doors including the bedroom, safe in room). Minuses: The least friendly and most unhelpful staff we encountered anywhere. Although we had booked and paid a deposit using a credit card, when we arrived we were told the office was closed for the next 2 days (a holiday weekend) so we couldn't pay the balance using the credit card. Fortunately we had enough US cash to cover it.

We apologize for the experience that Cathy said she experienced at The Gardens. We have spoken to the staff about it as this is a very unusual experience as we always receive good responses from our guests. Again we apologize wholeheartedly to her.

Hotel was very old and shabby. There was a huge cockroach in bedroom. There was only few restaurant at neighbour. Swimmingpool was ok. Landlady was very nimen and helpfull.

The Gardens - A quiet Oasis
The Gardens is a nice quiet facility. The standard of apartment is fairly basic.Cleanliness standards are good.Unfortunately two elements let this property down the first of which was the non-operational air conditioning unit in the bedroom,which made sleeping very uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi was also problematical and kept dropping out,which was an annoyance. Apart from that the staff were friendly and the property is 7 minutes walk from the Sovereign Shopping Centre

pretty decent
My stay in this hotel was good. Hallways were kind of narrow, there were little bugs in my room. Other then that it was fine, big tv, balcony, nice bathroom, good bed, free breakfast. If you're looking for a decent place you could stay here, but you could find a better place if you're willing to spend the money.

The hotel was hot, the air wasn't cooling.
Room had mosquito, smells terrible, the shampoo was from the previous guest and the lotion, ointment found under the bed from previous guest. The bathroom was flooded, no water in the pipe for over an hour.

The Gardens
Arrived in the evening, other than ants & some small bugs, specifically in the kitchen or where we left food out for long periods of time. The stay was good. Wifi worked well during my time there. Had private restroom & luckily did not have to share. Pad lock on both front and back doors, and had also a gate to the rooms & guard dogs, which served for more of an alert/alarm system at the front that helped increase my sense of safety. Just a five-minute walk there are a bunch of restaurants, stores, movie theater & more off the main road. The few staff members I did meet were nice, especially the female room attendant.

Endearing Gardens
Got worried when no one was there to greet me on arrival at 9:30pm. Had to search for front desk person. lovely 2 bedroom, clean and spacious.. much better than a hotel room. However, I dislike burglar bars for the front doors and the interior. Wait staff was very accommodating(the best especially Norma and Mr. Smith). Front desk staff has no name tag. Each room has internet and cable TV. However, a TV guide would have been a great help, plus no room phone exist. If you need towels.. have to search for staff by walking to the front of complex or to the Staff quarters (Need to improve). Soaps land toiletries limited. Don't have ... will be out of luck for paper. The parking area is nice. Lovely flowers on property. location is perfect to get to and from airport, New Kingston, Constant Spring, Meadowbrook. Great place for a family. Kitchen is adequate.. nice space, however need updating for cookware, stove, glasses. Fridge is large for use by a family.
