"The place looks like it’s been refurbished and it’s terrific. Sea view room(11) is great, close to pool, restaurant and beach (though not very swim able due to rocks that we saw on low tide.) Pool is terrific. Service great a about a half hour grab ride into KK. Highly recommend for a laid back stay. We extended our original 2 day stay to 6. "

"1. The Oceanus Shopping Mall is not fully operational. However the 3 convenient-marts along the corridor did help. 2. The bathroom walk-in closet is fantastic. More lighting in shower and vanity area will help in attending ourselves. Sofa and carpet looks pretty aged. It will be good if there’s a sofa cover (washable) to rest on, feeling more fresh and comfortable. The tv top quarter screen illumination is dark-shaded, uneven one-sided brightness. "This is a very fine modern hotel located in the heart of Kota Kinabulu. We particularly appreciated the fact that it was a short walk to the restaurant row on the waterfront which offered outdoor seating and a variety of cuisines."

"The property is beautiful surrounded by a lush forest which brings around wildlife (including some monkeys that can be a bit invasive). The tram at Bunga Raya was really a pleasure, with smiles and warm hospitality. We do have to warn of the sand flies, which left my husband with over 60 bites on his back even after applying repellent (I on the other hand was never bothered much, as with other guests it was a hit or miss).
