"A very charming hotel. It was like a trip back to the 15th century. Large bedroom with ancient furniture style, very clean and working fine. The pub and the restaurant area creates an ancient atmosphere and the food is just excellent. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Great location, just beside York Minster. Good value for money. That is the place to stay if you want to feel the ancient York."

"Staff were very helpful especially carrying our bags to and from our room. The room was very clean and the bed was soft and extremely comfortable. The room was in the basement and there are steps but they are broken up not continuous so weren’t too problematic for some one with slight mobility issues. The music and noise from the bar ended at 11pm and we didn’t experience any noise from outside or other guests. "

"We had a brilliant stay here. We stayed in Fishergate which we found really comfortable and clean. Our room was serviced during breakfast every day. Breakfast was huge and there were lots of choices including a full English and smoked salmon and eggs. Breakfast is 9-10am every day which suites us well. Even when the hotel was busy, our room was nice and quiet. We asked for a breakfast in our room/to go on our check out day because we left early and we had a beautiful breakfast delivered to...

"I have been to York many times and stayed in many great places around the city but this beats them all. An easy 3 minute walk to Yorkminster, a Sainsbury's out front and The Bootham Tavern pub across the street. The pictures included in the listing are 100% accurate. The flat itself is roomy, well appointed and has all the amenities one expects (more, actually). It was quiet, comfortable and extremely clean.
