"Adoramos a experiência de passar uma noite em um castelo, tudo perfeito , muito bem caprichado, todos os ambientes aconchegantes. Jántar muito bom, mas comemos carne e foi bem salgado .Como iríamos pegar a balsa muito cedo para islay e não daria tempo de tomar o café da manhã , arrumaram gentilmente uma pequena marmita para tomarmos o café na balsa. "

"Checked into our first room, toilet flush inop and a washing up bowl on the side with the toilet fixings hanging off. Reported to reception who moved us to another room with a sauna, sauna did not work, horrendous noise from the kitchen fans and no sea view which we had upgraded to. Back to reception for a second time and had to argue to get moved room again. Third room was terrible, smelt damp, curtains hanging off, paint peeling off walls and cracks in windows. Only upside was the food was...

"Muito bem localizada a 9km do Porto do ferry para Islay. Quarto pequeno, mas correto. Café da manhã com suco, pão, bacon, salsicha, cereais, café ou chá e leite, geleia, manteiga e mel, sem frutas. Não tem elevador e o teto é baixo no 3o andar (cuidado com a cabeça). Atendimento totalmente remoto, mas funciona."

"Luckily our stay was during the good weather, the pool and sauna was good but, think it could have been quite bleak if it had been rainy. Our room looked tired and the 2 seater couch was very grubby and the cushions were sunken. The restaurant looked like a staff canteen with all the formica tables and the food was very disappointing, no Michelin chef here! The food was cold and bland, breakfast was not cooked to order, that was also cold. I ordered porridge one morning , the waitress assured...

"The Anchor was a convenient stay for us as we needed to be close to the ferry to take us to Isla. The staff were very pleasant and check-in was easy. Parking was across the street and convenient as well. The rooms are very small and dated but clean and comfortable. There is a pub next door and many people were enjoying the World Cup so it got pretty noisy but we were able to sleep. We had a fabulous dinner in the Anchor's restaurant. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate....

"Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi"
