Mana Kauai Island Vacations Presents the Kalihiwai Beach House.
Kayaks, boogie boards, surfboards, and stand-up paddleboards are yours to be enjoyed every day of your vacation. No need to pay the high rental fees.
Kalihiwai Beach is one of the secret gems on the north shore of Kauai. If you want to go back in time to an older and less populated Kauai, this is your house and this is your beach. You won't miss the crowds of Hanalei while relaxing at your beach yet you are only a 10-minute drive to Hanalei. You are less than ten minutes to the heart of Kilauea town as well. Wonderful Views! This spacious house has 3 bedrooms/ 3 bathrooms and a covered lanai with ocean views perfect for lounging and watching the ocean. There is air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms!
Located next to Kalihiwai Beach & river, Kalihiwai Beach House is an ideal location for stand up paddle boarding, kayaking,swimming and boogie boarding. This is a favorite local beach on Kauai. Shopping, restaurants, golf courses and fun activities in the Kilauea, Princeville and Hanalei areas are nearby.
This transient vacation rental is located in the tsunami evacuation zone.

A rental agreement will be emailed to you. We do require that to be signed and returned.
This is a Mana Kaua'i Island Vacations home and we follow many practices that support regenerative tourism. We do the work so you don't have to.

The Administrative Fee is subject to change based on the number of nights booked and dates of travel.

For reservations 14 or more nights a mid-stay clean is required every 14 nights and the fee will be added to all reservations.

The previous reviews say it all - this is definitely a 5 star location. It is the perfect place to explore and enjoy all the wonders that Kauai has to offer - would definitely stay again. If you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing ear plugs - those roosters start their serenade early in the AM.

Steps away from the river. Lots of water toys, beach chairs, etc. Large kitchen. Very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, or just the beach.

6 of us enjoyed staying at this wonderful place for about a week in April 2025. The house is open and spacious and conveniently located for exploring the entire north shore of Kauai. The water toys were appreciated and used every day!

Great place very near ocean

This place had more than enough room for 5 people. The kitchen was great. Had every water toy we could want.Easy walk to the river and beach. Would definitely come back again. The roosters were not an issue for us. We are light sleepers and with the windows shut we couldn't hear them.

Beach house

This house really delivered a great vacation for our family. The location was private and perfectly located by the beach. The house was clean and the AC in the bedrooms made nights awesome. We hope to come back soon really happy with this house

Kauai Getaway

The house was so awesome. I would even say undersold in the pictures. The living room and kitchen seem so much bigger in person than the pictures. Also everything was clean, the room A/c worked well, there were so many beach toys and kayaks and SUPs, chairs, coolers, shades. So many things. We got asked daily where we rented the kayaks from. They are perfect along with the SUPs to go up the river and walk to the waterfall. Totally worth it. They also had a fold up crib in the closet. We could have probably left a whole suitcase full of stuff we brought that they already had there. I would 100% recommend the house.

Paradise

This house had everything we needed and more for a comfortable and relaxing stay! The location can’t be beat and all the extras, like SUP, kayaks and surfboards are a big bonus, we used them daily. Would 100% recommend staying here. Parents and teens alike loved it. Would be great for younger kids too!

Great house in great location

We had been debating for months where to stay on Kauai during January. We knew the north side was the rainy side and it would be a gamble staying up there. Well this house made the stay worth it! We also lucked out with decent weather and only one rainy night. The house is located in a nice secluded area just a few hundred feet from the river and beach. It was so nice to be quickly in front of the ocean when you woke up in the morning. We enjoyed the paddle boards, kayaks, boogie boards, and other items like chairs and snorkel gear that made beach going enjoyable. Make sure you paddle up the river. It is so beautiful. The house is very comfortable to stay in with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was good size and we loved it so much more than staying in a small hotel or condo. It was nice to have laundry units, but they are old and loud so do your laundry while you are out. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!

What a great place to experience Kauai for the first time! The house was very clean and well appointed. We were surprised when we walked in, as the living/dining space is bigger than it appears in photos. We made great use of all the beach gear, kayaks, SUPs, etc. The beach across the street was very convenient (as long as you don’t mind getting a little bit wet crossing the river) and we loved paddling up the river! As mentioned in previous comments, be sure to be prepared for an early wake-up call from the friendly feathered neighborhood alarm clocks! The house did get a little warm in the evenings, but cooled quickly with fans and open windows. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be booking again in the future.

Well appointed house in nice location

We arrived on a very hot humid day and discovered no AC. (I hadn’t paid attention when booking). Lots of fans are provided and we opened all windows and doors. It was still quite warm the biggest problem are the wild roosters that crow very early- all windows open and all sounds inside. I’m a horrible sleeper so I slept awful- everyone else did ok with it. The kitchen is very well appointed. Lots of towels for the beach and the water toys were awesome. The River that you have to cross to get to the beach is not optimal but not ideal. (No cocktail time on the beach after you’re all cleaned up) but the waterway was so fun with the paddle boards! The upstairs living was so nice and the better-than-peeks of ocean views were really nice. The house is clean and well stocked. The rooms are large and airy. I would recommend the. To get new pillows- everything else is nice- the pillows are less than nice. The shower for the 2 king bedrooms is shared - and was not working well- the handy man came to fix but needed a part. It’s a bit unusual of a shower- you stand in a large tub with windows around you- kind of hope the neighbors couldn’t see it?!? So I hurried! For the price it is a nice value. If there was AC, no waterway, and a normal shower it would be much more expensive. The water toys steal the show! Def paddle or kayak down the waterway or even in the bay!!

Nice quiet area near beach. Close to Anini Beach, Princeville, Hanalei, and shuttle to Ke’e Beach. Loved the water toys such as kayaks, boogie boards and SUPs. We used them all!

Great home on the north shore

The north shore is wet and wild. Be prepared for passing rainstorms and rough seas (we were there in April). The home is very spacious and generally well maintained. It comes with plenty of water toys to use in the river/beach. One thing we were concerned about was around crossing the river to get to the beach. The river water is a little chilly in April but not too bad. We were able to walk across the river with it only getting about 3-4 ft deep at the crossing to the beach. Bring some good earplugs for sleeping or else the roosters will wake you up at 5:30am. The house is in a condensed group of homes which doesn't really come through in the posting pics. It wasn't too close but expect to be within 30 feet of the neighbor homes. We would stay there again!

Ideal Beach House Location

We LOVED the location of this property and the fact that they have paddleboards and kayaks to use to cross the lagoon/river. The gorgeous Kalihiwai Beach is 2 minutes away. The property is spacious and light and has a great layout where we all had our personal space but a great room/kitchen and dining area to gather. The beds were very comfortable and the ceiling fans in every room were awesome. We also enjoyed the lanai with the lovely view. The only reason I took off 1 star on cleanliness was because we had to wash dishes and silverware that were not clean and a bath rug was stained to the point that it should have been replaced. Other than that the house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely return!

Perfect Kauai experience

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had nothing but amazing things to say about this property. Location was perfect for our needs, you definitely feel like a local rather than a tourist. The proximity to the beach and river was more than ideal and extremely convenient as were the water toys that were provided with the house. The house itself was beautiful, airy, and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall are experience staying here was memorable and we could not imagine staying anywhere else the next time we visit.

Amazing house just steps away from the beach!

Holly and Joanne were very accommodating during this whole Covid time as we had to reschedule our trip 3 times. The house was so worth the wait. Beautiful home, had everything we needed down to all the fun beach toys. It took all of about 90 seconds to walk down to the lagoon/beach with the ocean just beyond that. We were so spoiled by this house that we will never stay anywhere else when we return to Kauai. Thank you Ladies for everything you did for our family. Dawn and Paul Steffen

Amazing location, comfy home with everything you need

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The kids spent everyday in the river and surfing, which was a short 1 minute walk from the house. We loved having access to beach chairs, kayaks and surf boards. The spacious bedrooms and well stocked kitchen made our stay very comfortable and easy. We will be back!
