WEEKLY RENTAL - This property has the ability to be rented weekly all year long.
Manatee is a beautiful two bedroom, one bath, 1st floor condominium located within the prestigious gated community of 'Truman Annex' in Key West's 'Old Town' area. This home has the advantage of a beautiful outside deck overlooking foliage and the pool area. The deck is accessed by a set of French Doors and comes complete with a table & chairs for comfortable outside living that makes Key West so desirable. This is a great place for morning coffee, a leisurely afternoon visit with friends, or a place to wind down day or night. This home has everything needed to give you the entire Key West Experience at an affordable price. This home has just been refreshed with new furniture and also includes TV's, washer/dryer, pots & pans, towels, linens, central air conditioning, and 'private' off street parking. There is access to a shared community pool. The primary bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed.
The guest bedroom also enjoys a queen sized bed.
There is one off street assigned parking space.

Great location.This property needs work. Latch is falling off rear gate, cabinet doors are falling apart in kitchen, toilet is to close to shower door, gas grill is not usable, mold on outdoor furniture cushions and paint is peeling from deck furniture, shower head is weak and barely rinses your hair, You need to pick up your keys at an office that is far away from property and deal with your luggage and taxi, how about a lock box at the property? Will not use Compass realty again.

Beware of the Compass Realty Contract

I can’t evaluate Manatee at Truman Annex, because although we rented it, and we paid for it, we were switched by Compass Realty into a totally different unit. Compass requires a contract that contains a clause that essentially says that Compass can put you in any unit they want, for almost any reason, and if the customer challenges it, Compass is the sole arbiter of the matter. Here’s what happened in our case. We booked Manatee as it is all on one level and my wife has difficulty climbing stairs. We received check-in instructions one week before check in. I called Compass within an hour of receiving the instruction because it looked to me as though we were switched. I spoke to a woman at Compass who assured me that we would be in the unit we booked, and that “my confusion” was because the listing site uses “approximate” addresses, and they likely used the address of the nearby guard shack. Taking her word for it, we arrived on check in day and were given keys. Upon arrival at the unit, it was clear we had been switched. The biggest problem was a two-story with both bedrooms on the second floor, and a very steep stair. I called the Compass office and a male who answered did acknowledge that we were placed in another unit. He also gave me a verbal finger wagging, and was delighted to say, “you signed a contract” with an implied nanananana. We spent a week in the other unit and my wife was forced to sleep on a sofa on the first level. I do admit that I only did a cursory scan of the contract and was legally duped by Compass. The one thing I don’t understand is why the woman lied when I called. She knew just like the verbal finger wagger that we had signed their contract and they had us roped and tied.

Great property

This unit was well appointed and good value for the money. My only complaint was with the property mgmt company. We had to do a large part of the cleaning (towels, strip the beds, run dishwasher, empty the trash). As a rental property owner myself, our cleaning crews did all that work.

Overall a nice place and good location!

Pro - This unit is in the Shipyard just blocks from Duval which makes it a great location for enjoying a Key West vacation. It is clean and updated. Con - Have to pick up and drop off keys at office. Bathroom is very small. For me the noise in the backyard was an issue. Even in November with temperatures in the upper 60's low 70's you could hear lots of AC condensers and the pool skimmer.

Location, location, location

We had a great week in Key West. Walked to all downtown locations and restaurants. Perfect not having to drive and find parking. Condo has all necessities. Will come back we hope.

Great location and property

Home was clean, and well stocked. The location was perfect, about 3 blocks off Duval. Far enough so you do not hear the parties on Duval ( though you can hear Duval from just outside the complex) but only a couple minute walk. If I had one complaint, it would be the bathroom is a little small. Otherwise there was plenty of room. They even have some pool/ beach toys (we did not use, but Ft Zachery beach is also walking distance).

Beautiful property! Great location

The grounds on this property were beautiful!! Within walking and biking to most everything. Condo was well equipped down to the backpack beach chairs. Pool closed at sunset was only negative.

Great vacation property in the excellent neighborhood

Located very conveniently both in terms of overall island and in terms of neighborhood (backyard facing the pool). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Access to Fort Zachary Taylor park and beach was super easy, and so was access to Mallory Square and other tourist spots. All the while staying within welcome confines of gated community. Would absolutely visit again.

Great location. Easy to walk to anything. Could have used a better onboarding process, maps for KeyWest and a welcome to the Condo book. There were 2 different WIFIs #s on the TV, which was just confusing.

Shipyard at Truman Annex

Great location, very clean condo/grounds/pool, condo was starting to show age (had to call in for fridge repair, exterior doors rotting off hinges, bathroom was antiquated in layout, all fan blades were loose and noisy/much better after we tightened).

This property turned out to be great, so close to everything but yet so quiet. All appliances were like new, very well equipped kitchen, nice deck and porch to enjoy the weather. Would definitely rent this again !

The property is so cute! It was perfect for us. I loved the remodeled kitchen. It was clean.

The Truman Annex is a wonderful place to stay. I’d definitely come back to this property. The location is great. The property is so close to Duval. I loved biking all over Key West. The Green Parror is down the street. This is a quiet community. There is a deli with amazing food and custard down the street.
