"The accommodation was easy to find & parking no problem. Hospitable host. It was perfect for us - we just stayed 1 night. Clean. Good kitchenette. Plenty of windows that open easily, so nice & light & airy. Bed comfortable. Shower not very powerful, but sufficient. Heaters in lounge & bedroom if needed. Breakfast & fruit juice brought to your door & very tasty. Would recommend & return. "

"Very peaceful location in pretty village with thatched cottages and near the river for riverside walks. Good security and entry instructions emailed by host pre-arrival. Room was beautifully decorated and all very clean. Lovely shower. Great breakfast delivered to the room - choice of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, jam/marmalade, orange juice. "The guest house is a lovely older building type, very comfortable and very close (6 minutes on foot) to the city center. The lovely Kevin and Vicky make us feel very welcome and well taken care of, making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Loved that the room had a mini fridge, a microwave and a kettle, as well as an assortment of teas and coffees for my use. "I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel appears to be used by the council to house individuals with drug and alcohol issues, which created an uncomfortable and at times unsafe environment. There were visible burn marks on tables consistent with drug use, and noise levels were high at all hours of the day and night. Local businesses even confirmed this is an ongoing issue. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to relax or get proper rest, and I would not choose to stay here again."
