"The caretaker Paul didnt know we were coming and initially was more interested in his amazon parcels, told us the owner books people and dosent tell him (happens all the time) id booked one double and one single with 3 beds on the same floor - I got one double with single beds in the attic and my children the 3 bed a floor below us. The b&b had hostel vibes from the start. There were smashed windows, dirty bathrooms without locks, pubes on the toilet roll and bottles stashed behind the was hand...

"A lovely stay at Thorpe Guest house. Lovely area and very relaxing. The hosts are very helpful on local area amenities and our stay. Would recommend highly if staying in the area. I would book again when visiting family and friends near by."

"The guest house is a lovely older building type, very comfortable and very close (6 minutes on foot) to the city center. The lovely Kevin and Vicky make us feel very welcome and well taken care of, making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Loved that the room had a mini fridge, a microwave and a kettle, as well as an assortment of teas and coffees for my use. "Didn't meet any staff, I was dealt with via text, which is a little impersonal. There was a layer of dust on the top of the wardrobe but everything else was clean and I had everything I needed. The towel was very small. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge worked very well and was silent. Overall the stay was fine for what I needed and yes I would return. "
