A short walk will take you into the picturesque market town of Keswick, making this a great base to explore the north Lakeland Fells. Suitable for couples or families, the apartment is spacious with a bright and airy living room, complete with comfy sofas, and a well-equipped kitchen/dining room, for those hearty breakfasts to start your day. Set along a terrace row of similar traditional Lakeland property, the sash windows look out over the rooftops to the fells, including Skiddaw.
Walla Crag is perfectly situated to explore the Lake District. The market town of Keswick has an abundance of outdoor shops, restaurants and cafés, and there is also a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities nearby. Why not start your ascent on the infamous Cat Bells with a gentle crossing of Derwent Water on one of the cruises from Keswick Launch, or entertain the family at the many attractions that will capture their imagination close by. A whole host of outdoor activities can be found in the area, or for that special evening out, why not try one of the many fine dining restaurants, or catch a play at the Theatre By The Lake. For more traditional Lakeland nights, have a taste of the real ales that are served in the local pubs. Beach 24 miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We liked it.
We liked it. It was warm, comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was also bright so someone has responded positively to previous reviews. The only problem with this part of Keswick is the parking. We managed to park reasonably near but it was off season. Can’t blame the property for that as very few of the properties have parking spaces but it is worth mentioning that your car may be some distance from the property.

Very difficult to park near the cottage both times we had to unload and load the car so it was a struggle to be out by 10am. However the cottage itself was fab and it has an unexpectedly stunning view of Skidaw and Latrigg and we would definitely book it again

A lovely apartment in very good location, near to town (10 minute walk). Excellent value for money. Cleaned to a high standard, very comfortable beds. The bathroom at the rear of property gets very cold (we were visiting in April). The single bedroom is quite small but adequate. There are some slight negatives such as no hanging space in main bedroom, low ceiling in twin room (but we had kids in there so not much of an issue to us), no dishwasher or a washing machine which would have been nice to have either. Overall though I would recommend the apartment and would stay again.

Fantastic position would have benefited from towels in house as well as bedding. I was aware but forgot and had added expense, just a small touch would add to the holiday, to make it perfect.

Apartment was lovely , cosy , well equipped we didn't realise that towels were not provided but hi
Apartment was lovely , cosy , well equipped we didn't realise that towels were not provided but hire is available @ £4 for a set (bath and hand towel) Kitchen was very well equipped . We have no mobility issues in our party. but just a note that it is set over 3 floors so stairs may be an issue for some people . I would definitely stay again and also plenty of on street parking .
