"The location of the Bear Necessities cottages is rural and quiet, yet close to town. Our cottage, though small, was clean and comfortable with a good shower. There is no air-conditioning, which is typical in Alaska. Heat was provided by a diesel heater. This was a little unusual, but we got used to it and it worked fine. No complaints. Would easily stay here again."

"Management was on top of their game with any questions we had, the cabin was super clean, new, and full of the Best amenities!! We loved having a washer and dryer, full kitchen, living room and 2 full bathrooms! We traveled as a group of 4 & It was perfect for us! It’s obvious they are investing a lot of time and money to make it a beautiful place to stay. The sunset views were incredible, and you could take a walk along the river watching the fish swim in front of you. Highly recommend!!"

"The solarium and hot tub was a good distance away and was just a green house. I may have misunderstood when booking,but they made it seem like it was a part of the cabin.( the entire reason I spent $400 for one night) it was hard lugging my luggage to the cabin do to the railroad tie stairs being so far apart. "We like everything about this property! We travel extensively and I really believe this host offered the “little” details possible. A small candy dish, a booklet full of local information, soft towels, make up towels, nice shower heads, coffee products, etc…. We enjoyed the balcony, recliners and soft bed. Nearby float planes coming and going did make noise that could bother some, but we know those sounds are the price of adventure for others, overall this is a great place to stay!"

"O quarto ficava afastado da parte principal do hotel onde tínhamos que atravessar por uma área aberta porém coberta, ou descer por uma escada e sair direto na rua. Apesar de ser uma cidade segura isso gera um certo desconforto pois não há controle de entrada e saída para esses quartos."

"The two-night stay was great, in a calm and quiet place, even though it was close to the Alaska Railway. The room was tidy and functional, the service was excellent, and the owner was a wonderful person. The location was very close to Exit Glacier, one of Seward's land attractions. Oh, the stay reminded me of my childhood and youth scouting days."
