"Pictures and discription were not what we actually rented. Very small, no room for the luggage, shower very small and could hardly bend offer to clean. The kitchen would have worked had there been supplies for cooking. No toaster, no sheet pan, no strainer. The bed crambbed into a space were there is 18" to walk on bot sides. There is heat but no way to cool, no fan. There is a nice laundry on the property and the property is quite."

"We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for that cabin experience with all the amenities. The cabin was so comfortable and spacious. The grounds are really fun to explore all the way out to the beach. The scenery was amazing. I would only recommend having some throw blankets in case guests are chilly sitting on the couch or when extra warmth is needed at night."

"The location of the Bear Necessities cottages is rural and quiet, yet close to town. Our cottage, though small, was clean and comfortable with a good shower. There is no air-conditioning, which is typical in Alaska. Heat was provided by a diesel heater. This was a little unusual, but we got used to it and it worked fine. No complaints. Would easily stay here again."

"We like everything about this property! We travel extensively and I really believe this host offered the “little” details possible. A small candy dish, a booklet full of local information, soft towels, make up towels, nice shower heads, coffee products, etc…. We enjoyed the balcony, recliners and soft bed. Nearby float planes coming and going did make noise that could bother some, but we know those sounds are the price of adventure for others, overall this is a great place to stay!"

"The place is cute, clean and a place I would recommend staying. First, you walk in and you see the living room, dining table and kitchen, all simply put together. The fun plus was seeing the Ms. Pac-Man arcade game. The bedrooms were clean, there were plenty of towels in the adequate bathrooms, and the cupboards in the kitchen had sufficient items to utilize. "O quarto ficava afastado da parte principal do hotel onde tínhamos que atravessar por uma área aberta porém coberta, ou descer por uma escada e sair direto na rua. Apesar de ser uma cidade segura isso gera um certo desconforto pois não há controle de entrada e saída para esses quartos."

"The two-night stay was great, in a calm and quiet place, even though it was close to the Alaska Railway. The room was tidy and functional, the service was excellent, and the owner was a wonderful person. The location was very close to Exit Glacier, one of Seward's land attractions. Oh, the stay reminded me of my childhood and youth scouting days."
