Dufftown is charming

Dullan Brea was a lovely house but be wary that it is a B&B not an Inn. There were too many rules and not enough flexibility for us. The check in time is difficult past 7pm and the check out is strictly at 10am (the proprietor would hover outside your room until you were out the door.) If you sleep past your alarm from jet lag beware breakfast is closed by 8:45 am. It was a charming house but for us we prefer the flexibility of an Inn rather than a B&B.

Simply wonderful

This was the best stay on our Scotland vacation. Starting with a warm welcome from our host. The house was recently rénovated with good taste. Access to the kitchen ans living Room was greatly appreciated. The. Booking with recommendations for restaurants and things to visit in Dufftown was quite usefull. And the Room ...the luxury and confort you would expect on a grand Hôtel. Manu thanks. Lyne and Francis

Theresa and Derek could not have been better hosts. Their place is amazing and they truly love what they do. The historic house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our only mistake was staying just one night!

Amazing B&B

The Dullan Brae is a wonderful B&B right in the heart of Dufftown. It is close to many of the local distilleries and is a short taxi ride from the Keith rail station. Theresa could not have been more hospitable. I have absolutely no complaints about our stay and would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Speyside region of Scotland. Bonus: her morning breakfasts are amazing (pick from 4 different style choices).

Luxury in Dufftown

A very nice stay , beautiful room and a large bathroom, a wonderful breakfast, a short walk to restaurant and shops , be a great base for speyside whiskey tours.

Highly recommended

Lovely place, it's the whisky capital of Scotland but I was passing through on business. Room was very nice, large with a big bathroom, owner was very friendly, the place has a friendlier less formal feel and is striking distance to the outstanding restaurant A Taste of Speyside. I had possibly the best night's sleep I can recall in a hotel too. The only drawback can also be seen as a massive positive as I struggled for a phone signal and the wifi wasn't working...that said it was heavenly to be in peace for a night!

Wonderful property - excellent host!

This was a beautiful property with excellent views. It is located in a quiet part of town but convenient to walk to the shops and restaurants. The owner was delightful and very helpful during our stay.

Fantastic B&B

we stayed at Dullan Brae for 3 nights during the Spirit of Speyside festival . Old and newly renovated big house, Nice comfortable rooms, breakfast perfect. the house is in the backyard of Mortlach distillery, Nice surondings, close to Dufftown clocktower (center of the Village). And the hosts; Theresa and Derek, WoW!!! incredable couple. Made you feel like you were in your own house . Will we go back ? oh YES

Marvelous. Highly Recommended.

This is a great B&B in a recently restored house, formerly owned by the founder of the distillery right next door! Greeted with a warm welcome from the owners who really cannot do enough for their guests: suggesting activities and places to see and sorting out distillery visits via their local contacts if needed. The rooms are beautifully restored in keeping with the building but with a modern twist. My room (Red Room) had a great view, a conformable 4-post bed and a large, new on-suite bathroom. The cooked breakfast is a must. Served in the breakfast room. There is also a superb common room and great little garden. Just a quick walk up to town and a even a few of Dufftown's distilleries. Off-street parking is a useful bonus.

Fint, rent och väldigt trevlig boende

Väldigt fint gemytligt boende precis i Dufftown, mycket nära till bl.a. Glenfiddich och andra destillerier.

If you don't stay here you will have missed out !

What can I say, the location is perfect for the Distilleries. The rooms are very lush, we stayed in the Red room, the bathrooms are gorgeous, the whole place has been recently renovated to a very high standard. You will not be disappointed. Theresa booked us an evening meal and a distillery tour when we arrived then showed us to our room. The breakfast was yummy and you can walk easily in to the centre in the evening just a 3 min walk.

Wonderful stay in Dullan Brae

We stayed at Dullan Brae for our whisky tour and absolutely loved it. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and the owners /hosts are gracious and friendly. We were a little worried about sharing bathrooms, but there are 2 hotel style bathrooms and a half bath; all guest rooms were occupied and never had a problem with cleanliness of bathroom as Theresa is constantly checking on their status.
