THIMARI. Unique location, one min from the beach!

THIMARI enjoys a great location in Assos, elegantly designed/furnished and with fantastic views across Assos. The beach is only a short walk down a few steps, less than a minute.

The main bedroom has a double bed on the upper floor and has large balcony doors overlooking the stunning views of the sea and Assos bay. The en-suite bathroom has doors leading onto a spacious private balcony overlooking fantastic views of the sea. There is a separate living room downstairs with a double sofa bed and a w/c & shower room, a fully equipped kitchen/diner, flat screen TV, air-conditioning throughout and mosquito nets on all windows and doors.

There will always be someone available to answer questions!

Assos is a small and charming village located 36 km north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia (45 min drive by car). It is one of the most charming spots of the island. Dominated by the ruins of a 16th century Venetian castle, the village of Assos is built on a small peninsula reflecting a beautiful and warm atmosphere.

Assos has 3 traditional tavernas, a sea-side cafe/restaurant as well as a fantastic street food canteen which serves incredible food/cocktails.

Beautiful location and apartment. Very easy parking . A few restaurants but great food. Have been twice and will most likely will come again . Wonderful apartment Charlie.

It's literally as good as it looks! Fabulous location in Asos, comfortable, quiet, with usable balconies whatever the time of day or evening.Nice little touches - toiletries in both shower rooms, welcome basket, good towels. Don't go expecting super-fast wifi - you're in Greece! Absolutely recommended place to stay in Asos.

Stunning

This had to have been my favourite holiday to date. The property itself is beautifully styled, excellently maintained and superbly located. We really felt like we were in the heart of Asos, but at the same time it was incredibly peaceful and private. I could not want more from a destination. Thank you... we hope to be back.

Stunning location, wonderful atmosphere very Greek

"We loved Assos beautiful scenic location." Apollonia apartment was in a prime position. We enjoyed watching the changing canvas of boats coming and going, the comfort and cleanliness of our accommodation and the shear beauty of this place. If you want a friendly atmosphere, peaceful evenings eating traditional food at local restaurants, then sitting on your balcony with a glass of wine looking at the sea ...... this is your holiday sorted. We will return !!!!!

Stunning accommodation with simply beautiful view

We spent a perfect 7 nights at Thimari. I knew I'd booked somewhere with a view as the holiday was for a special occasion, but was still blown away when we got there - beautiful both inside & out, Thimari is on two levels, with spacious living area / kitchen, along with small shower room on the entry level, with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There are no less than three balconies - one from the bathroom overlooking the sea at the back, and two (from living area & bedroom) facing out over Assos' harbour and out to sea, with the castle high above to the left. Just stunning. Vicky & Nick were perfect hosts, sorting out a trip switch issue almost as soon as we'd reported it, and providing a large umbrella when we had a day or two of rain (this is the kind of accommodation you don't mind being stuck in for a couple of days - and, anyway, the storms from the balcony were wonderfully dramatic). The house-keeper was very friendly and, again, happy to assist if needed. We only have one regret - that we had to come home yesterday! Thanks to Vicky & Nick for a truly wonderful stay.

Beautiful assos

Greeted by the owners on arrival, really friendly and welcoming, the accommodation was just what we wanted, spacious with large bedrooms and cooling breeze, balcony looked straight onto the sea, absolutely stunning relaxing views, this is the most friendliest, welcoming and generous part of kefalonia we have been too and why we go back every year, the owners of the villa couldn't do enough for us and we were extremely great full and made our holiday all that much better. The property was very clean and description of it was accurate, I liked every part of this place and can not give anything a bad review. If you have not been to assos it's a must and I highly recommend this property as it's perfect, very easy to book and very accommodating owners. Value for money is great. Will be re booking with them as soon as I get my leave authorised for next year . Thank you very much and look forward to seeing you and the villagers next year

Gorgeous, relaxing, family friendly villa in Assos

We couldn't have wished for a more perfect villa for spending a week in beautiful Assos. My husband, 2 young children and I had a lovely week of hiking, swimming and relaxing in this friendly village. The apartment was spotless and quiet. It had beautiful views from all patios and we spent quite a bit of time just enjoying the breeze and sunshine. Although it is only a one bedroom property it has bathrooms on both levels and feels quite spacious. Our only complaint was the pull out couch in the living room was uncomfortable. The property was only a couple minutes walk from the beach and several excellent restaurants. The owner sent detailed directions on how to get to the property and was flexible with check out time. We would absolutely recommend this property to friends wanting to stay on Kefalonia.

Fantastic find!

Lovely house with stunning views. Well maintained clean property just as described by owner. Assos is a very relaxing place to stay, house just a minute from beach and Tavernas. I would highly recommend this property and Assos. We cannot wait to go back!!

Beautiful Assos! Beautiful Thimari!

June 2011 My husband, 15 month old daughter and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Assos, having stayed at Thimari. Where do I begin? Assos is without a doubt the most beautiful part of the island. What made the holiday an even more pleasurable experience was our lovely villa Thimari. It became our home away from home in the sun. Thimari is a gorgeous townhouse style villa with stunning views from both the front and the back. Both the spacious living room and bedroom have a balcony overlooking the bay. My favourite however was the view from the upstairs bathroom as whilst showering or bathing the baby, I would have the doors to the balcony open so we could see the vast view of the sea. Stunning! The open plan kitchen/diner/living room allowed our daughter to crawl around freely leaving us to put our feet up and enjoy the view. Assos is perfect for both families with children and couples. It's quaintness makes it such a personal and laid back experience. Not only did we eat at Platanos restaurant every night for 2 weeks, but we became friends with everyone who worked there, making our time in Assos all the more welcoming and enjoyable. Finally I cannot forget to mention the lovely Mariela who looked after our villa whilst we were there! Kept our villa so clean and tidy after the destruction caused by our little one. Always at hand with clean towels and fresh bedding. Just another excuse for us to return to Assos!

Absolute Heaven

My heart stopped as we drove down the winding road to Assos: this is one time when I knew that I had made the right decision in renting the apt. Thimari in Assos. I just can't give it enough stars: we finished our 8 week long trip to Greece in this incredible place, on the best island ever! A car is essential in Assos: do not even think of not having one so that you can enjoy the island in full. We esp. loved Samos and went there any chance we got. We did our laundry then--sadly the Thimari machine is used constantly by the housekeeper, so we did have to take our wash to a laundromat (near the church in Samos). The housekeeper was fantastic, a sweet hard working woman who spoke good English. The apartment was large, airy, light, immaculate, perfectly maintained. We appreciated the Sat. TV, too. Two suggestions: if travelling with a GPS be SURE to take postal codes with you because the spelling of Greek towns is ..what can I say? Update your GPS before leaving home..there are new roads that didn't appear in our Garmin. We are senior citizens and must add that although you don't have to be hale and hearty, Assos requires walking up and down hills and access to the house is not a flat approach (one parks in the town area about 30 meters away, then walks uphill (or climb steps) to Thimari.

Special place to stay

Assos itself is truly beautiful, everthing we wanted, peaceful, a few tarverna's (all good) great views, sea just a short walk away. (late June) The accomodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations, clean, comfortable and well kitted out. Two fantastic large balconies with unbelievable views, from the bedroom and lounge. Loads of wardrobe and cupboard space, great showers, it was obvious the owners had focused on attention to detail. The clean towels and bed linen change in the week was a great bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends or family and we would definitely book again.

Amazing!

I have travelled extensively and stayed in many 5 star resorts but nothing compared to my stay at Thimari. It was so quiet and peaceful and our view from our room was breathtaking. The apartment was kitted out with all the amenities and built to a very high standard. If you want to a holiday where you can relax and take in the incredible surroundings with everything you need on your doorstep then this is the place for you. What a Perfect Holiday! I definitely will be going back!

Best new place in Assos!!!

I stayed here for a week last summer. I went with some friends who stayed elsewhere on the Island (we all went for a wedding). They ended up coming to Assos pretty much every day as they loved it so much! Location and quality of the apartment are second to none... By far the best property around (trust me... I have stayed in many of them over the years).

What a holiday!!!

I visited Kefallonia after some friends of mine showed me their holiday snaps. Firstly, Kefallonia as a whole is a beautiful island with lots to see and do. What can I say about where we stayed... WOW!!! The location was amazing (30 seconds from the beach). The views were amazing and the apartment was pure luxury! Highly recommended and we will surely be going back!!!!
