Arterra Villa, a hidden sanctuary

In 2017 we have successfully resurrected this beautiful building and turned it into a luxurious, eco boutique villa for all to enjoy.
Sitting proudly upon the terraced gardens that surround the home and the 1,500 sq.m that the property occupies, overlooking almond and olive trees, the only sound that can be heard are the birds singing across the trees.

"Arterravilla" was born out of love for a unique private forest land ,for the airy filling, for the open sky, for the clear clouds for the soil and tree fragrances that open up your heart Minimalistic lines play off idyllic scenery.Lush, terraced levels drop down behind the villa.Here you’ll find amenities, such as a hidden pool, barbecue and a shaded outdoor sitting & dining area.In others you’ll experience the timeless beauty of gardens and winding pathways. Arterra Villa has been designed to allow both outside and inside spaces to effectively flow into one another.
At first sight, the guests' catching impression reflects harmony and serenity.
The architects were required to focus on conserving the stone walls and integrating modern amenities into the existing spaces.
In addition to renovating the house, a patio, sun terrace and pool were created using the same materials to ensure they blend in with the existing architecture.

The main house features an open plan kitchen (fully-equipped)
Dining and living space crowned by an open traditional wood ceiling and two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, which are designed to respect guests privacy.
A separate guesthouse offers a third bedroom and a third bathroom, both built in traditional style with exposed stone, wooden ceilings and vintage handpainted concrete tiles floors.
The master bedroom features a double Queen size bed and a cozy living space with fireplace.
The second bedroom features two single beds, with an optional King size double topper (180x200mm).
The third guest bedroom features a traditional iron double bed.

Arterra villa offers high quality sleep for every guest, thanks to the mattresses, sleeping pillows, linen, bed sheets of COCO-MAT, that are manufactured exclusively with natural materials to give you the most restful and rejuvenating sleep. We believe that when you are on vacation you deserve the best to make the most of your sleep.
The stucco italiano bathrooms of the house feature concrete handmade colour sinks and stainless steel faucets with handmade porcelain handles keeping up the interior design's visual tone of balance and graceful calm.
Except for the stone guest bedroom of naturally controlled temperature, all rooms provides guests with air conditioning system and ceiling fans.
The windows (Double-glazed) provide panoramic spectacular views of the surrounding nature and add a flare to the serenity and tranquility of the entire house.
Besides, it is this interaction between the house and nature that attributes its not so obvious right to be located exactly where it is and look exactly as it does.

Arterra Villa is the ideal escape for guests who enjoy being in nature but still want to have all the amenities of a luxury holiday rental. It is a wonderful place for couples, families as well as groups of friends.
The villa and pool is for your private use only as well as the garden. Bed linen & towels are provided as well as pool towels. The cleaner will come in during your stay & change them, depending on how many days you are stayingThe pool man maintains the pool regularly. All of this is included in the price.
Arterra Villa is located in the Makriotika village 10 minutes away from the main port of Sami. The location is a mix of traditional Cephalonian island and charming greek countryside. It's 10 minutes away from milky-white Myrtos beach, the island's pin-up, and the elegant fishing village of Aghia Efimia, where you'll find the best bakery, and butcher on the island, along with fine traditional taverns and beaches. One of our favorite spots on the island is few minutes away, the "Monastery of Themata", is one of the oldest monuments of Kefalonia, dating back to 1096 .
