Lisa is very easy to communicate with and the property itself is special. From the relaxation under the canopy of trees, to the pool and creek access, there is plenty for a family to do. "You could not beat the location! It's just a five- to 10-minute walk to the shops in Lower Town and all the historical landmarks. The listing was exactly as described and featured everything one could need for a few nights' stay—I really appreciated the electric skillet so that I had the option to cook something more substantial if I didn't want to eat out. There were definitely a lot of bugs (specifically big and small ants), but that was clearly disclosed in the listing. When there were people...

"Absolutely Great stay. The host was outstanding and responded to us very quickly with all our questions. The history and the view are outstanding. We went fishing and walked on the Forge all the way across right at our front door. One of the best places I ever stayed. Must visit Downtown Shepherdtown and Hapers Ferry. Sooo much history . Also must eat at Rock Hill Creamery absolutely the best ice cream Ive ever had."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, the location is perfect for exploring Harpers Ferry, within walking distance to everything. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cozy, perfect for a couples get away, would book again if returning to HF. The owner was very communicated, had well organized info for the stay and was easy to work with"

"Incredibly charming home in the perfect location. Me, my husband, and small dog spent hours on the deck, people watching, admiring the butterflies and the scenery, and drinking local wine from the cute store across the street. Just a minute's walk to restaurants and a cafe, with an amazing ice cream shop down the steps. The house was clean and the beds were super comfortable. Highly recommend. "

"Beautiful home! Very clean with lots of fun antiques. Comfortable chairs for chatting in the living room, new-looking window A/C units in each bedroom, and we loved all of the quilts! Kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed and more. Great experience and great hostess!"

"Overall, we had a great stay! There was plenty to do in the local area, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The game room was a lot of fun—the ping pong table was a big hit for us adults; however, the foosball table would probably be more enjoyable for kids, as it is on the smaller side. We also appreciated the closet stocked with board games.One highlight of our trip was rafting with River Riders—highly recommend asking for Jeff as your guide! He was fantastic!The cabin was just...

"It was a great stay. No complaints! Great communication with the hosts before and during our stay. Very clean and just like the photos. The only comments not entirely positive (but worth noting because it was one of my deciding factors in booking this property) is that the hot tub was not clean enough for us to be comfortable using (it is in the woods and may have been pollen coming through the screens—but it was covered) and I think one of the queen sized mattresses does need to be replaced in...

"We had such a a great time. The cabin was the perfect getaway on the top of the mountain. We saw deer every morning and it was peaceful. The cabin itself was clean and there was plenty of room for fun and relaxation. "
