Sturgeon Lake Cottage

Relax with the whole family & friends at this peaceful place to stay in the ā€œJewel of the Kawarthasā€. A wonderful waterfront cottage with great lake view. The cottage is four season with cable tv, and Internet. Swimming and fishing are available in summer. It is about 1.5 hours away from Toronto.

This property offers the best of both worlds -situated in the free-flowing area at the mouth of the lake and short distance to downtown to local restaurants, brewery, bars, Sobeys, LCBO,The Beer store.
The space
3 Bedrooms in Main Level: all of them with comfortable mattresses, soft pillows, and warm covers to provide you with amazing nights of sleep.

Great room: A Stunning living Room features a cozy wood fireplace with a great view to the lake, and a direct walk out to a tiered Deck, and 2 large comfortable couches.

Additionally, there is a wood-burning fireplace, ensuring warmth and coziness during chillier evenings.

1 Bathroom: Main Level, 4 pc (sink, toilet, shower and a jacuzzi)

Basement:
A full finished basement featuring another tv room, two Futon beds (sleep 1 each) as well as a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.

A Large sun filled kitchen with an Eat In area & overlooks the lake, includes all necessary appliances, a toaster, microwave, coffee machine, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and a variety of cups and glasses. Dining table seats up to 8.

A rare wet slip boathouse, the second level observation deck on the boathouse presents spectacular lake views & sunrise/sunsets and provides you with over 490 Sq feet of space to sit and relax. BBQ is not allowed on the second level observation deck on the boathouse!

Two Pelican Kayaks with paddles and 3 life jackets XL, L and medium) for you to enjoy kayaking. Please make sure to park them in the boathouse after you finish.

Whether you want to relax on the massive deck and enjoy the view, fish off the dock, swim, snuggle up in front of the fireplace or walk to town for shopping, restaurants and events, there is lots to do on property and in Fenelon Falls.

Indoor entertainment: Wi-Fi throughout, 2 TVs , one in the great room and one in the basement, to access Netflix, Amazon Prime and any other streaming services. Wi-Fi: Internet source: fiber optics, Quality of service: good, Unlimited.

You will have exclusive access to the entire property, both indoors and outdoors. You can fully enjoy all the amenities and spaces available to you, allowing for a seamless and comfortable experience throughout your visit. Whether you're looking to relax indoors or explore the outdoor surroundings, the entire property is yours to enjoy and make the most of during your stay.
Other things to note
This area is very famous for fishing, boating, and hiking, so, if you love outdoor activities, this is definitely a great option for you.

The septic tank is right beside the cottage after the end of driveway (south side of the cottage) , no driving or parking is allowed over it. Please make sure that you park your cars or boats in the driveway.

Garbage and recycling pick-up occurs only once a week. Please note that guests are responsible for disposing of any remaining garbage and recycling by taking them back home with them.

Rates are based on 8 guests. Maximum 8 guests are allowed. Children under 1 year of age are free.

10% discount will be applied to weekly bookings.

No Pet is allowed.

One security camera is installed outside on the south east corner of the cottage. It is compliance with VRBO policy (for more details , pls. refre to Vrbo's policy on surveillance devices at a property )

Cottage Cleaning
The cottage must be left in the same condition as you found it, ready for the next visitors.

Garbage
All garbage and recycling disposal is the responsibility of the rental client. Garbage is to be placed in garbage bags/recycling boxes and stored safely so that animals cannot get into it. Information and location of the garbage dump specific to the cottage will be provided to you after reservation is finalized.

Water/Plumbing/Septic System
There are strict rules with regards to septic systems. Failure to follow these rules may result in thousands of dollars in repairs.
1. Only bodily waste materials and toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet. NO FEMININE/BABY PRODUCTS: TAMPONS, PADS, DIAPERS, WIPES.
2. Do not put any solid waste materials or grease down the sink drains.

Camp/Cooking Fires
Small campfires are permitted as directed by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Please identify and adhere to local fire bans when imposed by local authorities (especially during dry/fire season). Do not burn plastic, tin cans, glass, or any other items that should not be in the fire. Always drown out your fire with plenty of water when left unattended, in particular before going to bed.

No Smoking
The entire cottage is Non Smoking of any kind in the interior.

Please be advised, this whole area is a quiet place.
Municipal By-law can respond to noise complaints along with your local Police Service. Please be sure that you’re respecting your neighbours by following these noise By-laws:
• Amplified noise such as stereos is prohibited from 11pm to 11am
• Yelling, shouting or the playing of musical instruments is prohibited from 9pm to 7am
• Persistent noise made by any pet, such as a dog barking, is prohibited at all times.

Great place to stay with friends!

Booked this rental for the weekend with friends for my birthday and the property did not disappoint! The supplied bedding and towels were very clean along with the rest of the property. Siamak was very informative before and during our stay with any concerns we had or things we needed to know. The only thing is there is no AC in the unit but there is ceiling fans in most rooms that work well to keep you cool! Would definitely book this rental again!
