If you're not a fan of the smell of weed, you'll probably not be too happy here. Everywhere smells like weed. I didn't care that much because I was gone 14 hours a day, but a family with kids might care. The staff is nice. I won't publicly name three outstanding staff, but K and B are just the best people. You know who you are, and thank you for being a bright spot at the end of the end. The air conditioner was broken in my room. To their credit, a maintenance person was up to have a look at it within 5 minutes, and he was super nice. Unfortunately, there was no means to rectify the situation. The property was sold out. I couldn't be moved to another room, and there was no option to swipe and swap an air conditioner from another room. I just had to deal with it. I slept about 45 minutes that night. I was told that I could get my bill at check out and contact Choice Hotels to see if they would compensate me with points or a discount. No dice. I was told that because I paid through Expedia, my issue was with Expedia and there is nothing they could do at the property. So, Expedia, what are you going to do? I paid for a room with air conditioning and got a hot room at full price. I'm not counting on any response, but at least I get to see if they publish my actual review.
