This beautiful 3 bedrooms/2 baths duplex offer everything you need to comfortably stay just for a few nights or for an extended stay. Nicely decorated the house has new comfy mattresses, comforters, pillows and freshly laundered bed linens and towels. This duplex is located in quiet neighborhood and conveniently close to Oak Park Mall, popular restaurants, offices etc. Easy access to highways. Kansas City Bowling Trip

Boris is a fantastic host and easy to communicate with. He made sure we had what we needed and the house was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable stay in Overlandpark

The unit is nice and was clean and tidy upon our arrival. We were there for 5 days so used many of the ammenities, including the kitchen and appliances. Check in and out was easy, and Boris the host was great and very responsive.

Host was Great!

Boris was a great host. The location was centrally located for our activities we had planned for my grandson's graduation. I had my 96 year old dad with me and wished I would have known the layout of the duplex. We made it work and enjoyed our stay.

Boris was responsive but this listing is the worst place I have ever stayed with VRBO

Horrible neighborhood. Description and pictures are not even close to the actual place. Cleaning was the worst I have ever seen.

Comfortable Stay

The property was nice for an overnight stay. The properties in the neighborhood were not well maintained. The backyard patio area was not swept and full of tree droppings so we didn't sit outside in the evening. The inside was clean and comfortable. We were surprised that we had to remove the bedding, wash the towels, start the dishwasher and take out the trash. Typically when you are paying a cleaning fee that would be done.

Bad experience

When we first arrived, the house smelled like smoke. One of the comforters had burn marks, but the owner replaced it after I notified him. The showers were dirty. The remotes didn't work on the upstairs TV, so we couldn't sign into Netflix. We lost power at 10:30, and it never came back on, so we had to throw away the breakfast food we planned to cook in the morning. Additionally, the outside grill didn't have propane.

Not what we expected

Let’s start with the positives:-The host is responsive -The location was close to the places we were in town for -The linens are nice-The space was plenty for the three of us-Nice window coverings Unfortunately, we’re very disappointed about this property. The description doesn’t match the property. I gotta give it to them, they posted really good pictures because I fell for it. This is not an elegant space, some of the furniture looks like Goodwill finds or garage sale buys. There are fake flowers as decor everywhere. The shower curtains are plastic, the downstairs bedroom does not have a closet door, the upstairs closet is missing a door so they put a curtain instead, and the place needs to be professionally cleaned. This place was not clean! The showers especially! In addition, some lamps don’t work and only one bedroom has ceiling lights. The appliances in the kitchen are really old. The oven was wrapped in foil and was very gross.The back patio and front are covered in dry leaves they have apparently not picked up all fall and winter. Every time we opened the front door the leaves would blow into the living room. Also, the sink in the upstairs bathroom is not bolted to the wall and that’s an accident waiting to happen!Anyway, this is an honest and objective review. I recommend the owners to seriously upgrade their property if they expect positive reviews.

Rough around the Edges

Where do I begin....location/neighborhood was a little sketchy. Grass un-mowed and large limbs in the front yard. Basement bedroom and bathroom were unacceptable! Bathroom had t-molding missing on entry door therefore debris, dirt and filth accumulate in its place on the floor. Exhaust fan in bathroom was so loud due to a failing bearing...I’m guessing. Shower in basement is fine if your in college and a guy that doesn’t really care. Light switches in bathroom are located BEHIND the door causing you to enter the bathroom, close the door in the dark and find the lights. The sink faucet fixture was completely loose on the counter top. Outlet in basement bedroom fell out of wall when we tried to plug in phone charger. Bed in basement has no box springs so the bed sits about knee high. Light switches in bedrooms aren’t even wired to a light...there were only lamps on nightstands which caused you to enter dark rooms to find a lamp to turn on. Bathroom upstairs had urine on the base of the toilet and down the front of toilet. I went and bought Clorox wipes to clean it myself (yuck!). That same toilet had loose fasteners on the toilet seat so be careful when you sit down! Tried to get a fork out of utensils drawer and utensils were arranged in such a disorganized manner that I couldn’t even open the drawer to get one. My husband had to work on it for 10 min and reorganized all utensils so we could use it rest of trip. Something had been spilled down the side of fridge and was never cleaned up (yuck!). Backyard is advertised to be able to sit and enjoy....full of overgrown weeds and pavers heaved up from tree roots. The couple that was using the downstairs room/bathroom on our stay left after the first night and went and got a hotel room. Pretty sure that’s all that needs to be said right there. Departure instructions stated to place towels in washing machine and start cycle. But washing machine is only big enough for about 4-6 towels, which doesn’t work when you have 8 people staying in the house. Laundry machines are located in the garage...which isn’t very clean. Given that we are charged $80 specifically for a cleaning fee...I would say that previous $80 did not get used for cleaning prior to our stay. Nobody should be charging someone else money to stay in a place like this. It is advertised has elegant....this is nothing more than a roof over your head.

The inside was absolutely beautiful and just as pictured. Very clean and welcoming. Interior exceeded expectations. The outside however was in need of a weed eating and yard maintenance. The location met all our requirements and was located near the highways. The parking was a bit of an issue since there is only 2 spaces available and we he had more vehicles. Be aware this is located in a rental residential neighborhood.

Nice space

From the beginning, the communication with Boris was great. He was always quick to respond.The property was perfect for our needs. The pictures of the outside of the property were a little deceiving. It seemed a little unkempt so we were concerned about the inside however, the inside is nicely decorated and clean.Our only complaint was that there were several simple maintenance items and additions that could be improved to make the property an even better experience. I would caution anyone with mobility issues due to the steepness of the stairs. With most of the living space upstairs, going up and down the stairs can be difficult. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Adequate Not Elegant

We reserved this property because it had a first floor bedroom and bathroom. My mother is 89 and she is better off avoiding stairs. The first floor felt damp and dark. The feel of the neighborhood also gave us pause for her sleeping downstairs and my husband and me upstairs. So she ended up sleeping upstairs. The description just does not match the property. It was surface clean, but really needs a deep clean. The bathrooms have mold. Some lamps worked, some didn’t. It is as elegant as McDonalds. While it was fine for sleeping and leaving…. It was not a property that we would want to hang out or invite folks over. The highlight were the mattresses. Very comfortable. Thank you!!

Worked Well for My Needs

This property was exactly what I needed. I was looking for a place to put up several out of town guests and have a space to host. It was great! Although the finishes are not all the nicest and the neighborhood looks worn, the incredible location, prompt communication with the host, and great price made it all worthwhile.

Thankful for a Pleasant Thanksgiving Celebration!

My family and I were able to really enjoy our Thanksgiving together. The house is spacious, clean, and inviting. It was an overall warm setting that was perfect for hosting my family’s Thanksgiving dinner. I would definitely rent from Boris again and I highly recommend booking at this home. 5 stars!

Minor fixes needed

We had a great time. Good location. We had a group of 4 ladies all over 70 years old. We were surprised that the kitchen etc were up stairs. I think this should be disclosed in the description. Also the upstairs bathroom is an accident waiting to happen. The rug slid,we put it away and the bathtub was really slick. Need more fishes. It was a hazzle not being able to use light switch in bedroom. Everything else was good and we had a good time.

Good place to stay

This was just what we needed for our golf trip. While it’s not the best kept neighborhood, the location is great and the area was nice and quiet. The only issue we had was with the tv service. It just kept buffering and we couldn’t watch it. The beds were comfy, the house was clean and well decorated, and everything was clean. Good spot
