Nice weekend for NFL Playoff Game

The house was nice and well furnished. It was hard to see the address at night so finding the right duplex took a little bit. We had 6 adults and were quite comfortable.

3 main issues

The process of checkin and checkout was nice and they were helpful in allowing a late checkout. There were three problems, the 3rd bedroom was located in the basement but was unusable because of the musty smell, the couch was so warn it was highly uncomfortable, and all the blankets were very dirty and unusable. I tried to send a separate review to the property owners, as requested if unable to rate 5 stars, with pictures and concerns but received no response back.

Over night in Overland Park

Looks a little scruffy on the outside, but the inside is nice. Quiet neighborhood with a park nearby. Boris was very good with communications.

It was just like the pictures. Did smell like a cat and or animals at some point in the home. Did need to take allergy pills. Other than that it was clean and Boris was easy to work with.

The exterior isn't in great shape but once you get inside you see all the great work they have done!

We rented both sides for the Bold Youth Conference at the Overland Park Convention Center. It was perfect. Slept 16 with no issues and it was only a 10 minute drive to the convention center. Very clean and well kept. Great space.

My husband and I love staying in Homes or condos while traveling. At first I was kinda eerie about this house because I needed 1 of the bedrooms with a tv for my Handicap mom, this way she would not be disturbed that much. I should have asked how many stairs there was leading down to this bedroom but it all worked out fine. My mom and sister shared a room and my son and nephew were able to entertain themselves down stairs not to Disturb the rest of the family. Even though we were quite a distance from other family members those that came to see us was very pleased at where we were staying. Trash was a little problem due to all the cooking I had to do but my husband just ran the trash to a local place that had a big dumpster once ours was to full.Next time I will check what's left in the house from others before going out to purchase like dish detergent garbage bags soap etc.., Overall the stay was nice and I will recommend this property to others, One other thing my 1 nephew that is 6'5 did have a small problem with the downstairs shower being to short but he made do and we all laugh at how he had to bend over in order to shower. lol

Perfect base for a girls' weekend/babymoon

I booked this property for my sister's babymoon and girl's getaway weekend. The location was excellent, as we had planned shopping and things to do in the KCK suburbs and downtown KCMO. The neighborhood was secluded and quiet. The duplex itself was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the kitchen had all the tools we needed to fix breakfast for our group of 6 adults. We had a small issue with the upstairs shower/bath - we couldn't get the faucet to work. But the shower in the basement bedroom's en suite worked fine. I would definitely recommend the place for a family or group of 4-6 people - I felt we had much more privacy and a home-like atmosphere than we would have had at a hotel, at a very fair price.

Great Place!

We had a great stay here. The kitchen was stocked with all the tools we needed to make meals during our stay. It was very clean and in a safe neighborhood. Short driving distance to downtown. The host was very responsive. Would recommend!

KC VRBO Review

Pros: safe neighborhood (although the neighborhood lacks curb appeal, it felt safe), clean and comfortable home, fast and friendly responses from owner, newly renovated, many amenities, plenty of space for many guests, easy check in/check out with instructions provided, close to many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed being able to stay together in a home as opposed to having to rent multiple hotel rooms. The kitchen/living room/dining room are open and it was fun to hang out together making meals and playing games. Cons: The biggest problem was that the ladies in one room got no sleep the first night due to a loud rattling/banging in their window. When we investigated why it had been so noisy, we found the screen was barely in the window frame, it was ripped, the window itself was cracked, and there was no way to even lock the window at all. The owner was notified and came by to take a look. He said he would have that window fixed by his contractor after we checked out. We were able to remove the ripped screen from the frame, which resolved the rattling/banging noise. Other notes: although it's been newly renovated, some things are not quite finished. The bathroom outlet pulls out of the wall whenever you unplug from it; the shower on the main floor has a shower head so low that we had to crouch on our knees to wash our hair; and the basement ceiling has some stains (likely water or mold) that are (not well) concealed by a thin layer of paint. I think this will be a fine place once it is fully finished, but as they say: the devil is in the details.
