Nice!

When we got to this location , the house was freezing and we tried to turn the heat on but nothing happened for 2 hours we were still cold. I called the owner and he moved us to a different location right away. The other place was amazing it fit everybody and it was very warm! Thank you for letting us stay in your home !

Good location but needs TLC.

We went for a family reunion and upon driving up, there were bricks littering the walk way. We entering the home and discovered the AC was out...in JULY. Boris was very responsive and we were able to fix the issue quickly. While looking around we found the home didn't necessarily reflect the images on VRBO, the pictures were obviously taken many years ago and since then the home has been worn-down. We also found a huge urine stain on one of the futons and the comforters & sheets in the bag also reeked. We advised Boris and he offered to pay for new ones but we had local family members bring sheets, comforters, and pillows to use. The back sliding door would not open and the dining room chairs were ripped. We recommend adding mirrors, another TV, replace the pillows/comforters, and repaint. The location was good, the house suited our basic needs, and Boris was great but it's rundown and needs a lot of attention.

Older dated property.

The best way for me to describe this unit would be to liken it to an economy motel versus a 4 star hotel. The duplex is located in a bit of a run down rental community. Easy to locate but a bit of a disappointment in comparison to other experiences with VRBO. I had a number of other properties in mind, however I waited too long and booked with less than 2 months before the event. The trash can was overflowing in the front yard and stunk like nasty garbage rotting in the summer heat everytime you stopped outside. There is a muddy area at the bottom of the front steps that was unavoidable and mushy and slippery. The property is a bit run down and dated. The back sliding door doesn’t slide and the back yard area is unkept and unwelcoming. Not really a good place to sit and eat or visit. The upstairs bathroom shower curtain bar kept falling down and was very old and rusty. It needs to be replaced. Not enough seating in the living room and the couch makes a pretty lousy bed. So on the plus side…it offered more room than a hotel room and allowed 6 of us to be together while attending a family reunion. Full size refrigerator and enough towels for all of us. The futons in the lower level were good for the teenagers with us. Air conditioner worked well and the host was pleasant. It was pretty easy to get to. I did NOT complain to the property owner as we were only there doe a couple of days. There weren’t many other properties to choose from because of booking too close to the event. That is my own fault.

Close to everything that we needed or wanted to do.

No problems at all! The nearby (walking distance), playground was perfect for our night Easter egg hunt! Communication with owner was excellent and we enjoyed our short stay.

Convenient to KC

This location is really convenient to get around the KC area well and very quiet. Good amount of space for 5-6 people to stay comfortably. One struggle we had was the Wifi being really slow (~12MBPS) even after resetting the router, so we ended up using personal hot spots most of the time to access the internet which didn’t really bother us after we figured it out.

Disappointing

This place has nicer online pictures that lead you to believe it is a nice place in a nice neighborhood but it is not. This is an older, run down duplex that has clearly had very cursory efforts to fix it up. Corners of the floors in every room dirty, rugs dirty with stains on them, shower curtain rod in bathroom so rusted out that when you slide the curtain rust dust falls on you, mattresses are absolute thinnest on the market sitting on flat board frames with no box spring, no pillows to sleep with just shammed covered ones and no top sheet linens on them, lamps that are broken and don’t turn on, toaster in kitchen looks like it might have been on fire at one point, dirty residue on stove hood and kitchen sink and light switches were filthy. We showed up after driving for nearly 10 hours to this and simply ate our to go food we just bought, looked around and was disgusted by conditions so we left and went to find a hotel for our stay. Requested a refund from owner (and sent him pictures we took of the place) which at this point we have not received.

Thanksgiving

The house was perfect for keeping distance during a COVID holiday. My family of 5 was able to take over the basement and the Grandparents had the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. There was plenty of room for 7 ppl.

Overland Park Birthday Trip

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our families to gather for my grandson’s first birthday. Loved being able to offer home cooked meals instead of always eating out. The house was neat and clean and nicely decorated. So much better than a hotel.

Great Location

Overall, our stay at this property was fine. We encountered a couple of issues, but the owner is addressing to correct. Communication with Boris was very easy and he answered right away, eager to correct things and ensure the next guests would be happy. We will certainly consider staying at this location again in the future.

Nice place. Owner very attentive.

The place was nice. There were some issues with some things not being clean but was able to bring it to owners attention. Centrally located and easy to get to the places we needed to go.

Great location

It was in a great location close to many stores and restaurants. Clean home overall except the the outside could use some help the back patio and backyard needs cleaning. The front and back door dont shut very well. Owner was very friendly and very easy to work with.

It was perfect stay. I rented the duplex for my guest from Boston.

Perfect location in heart of Overland park. Nice decoration, comfortable beds, all needed appliances and amenities, close to restaurants and exit to 69th HWY.

Adequate accommodations for our purpose.

Golf trip by four guys along with a Royals game so not much down time other than sleeping. The interior of the unit was clean to our standards. All of the necessary appointments. Upon arrival, AC wasn’t working but Boris was very responsive and resolved the issue quickly. The back deck and paitio area would benefit from a little TLC. All-in, very good for us however.

This place has been updated and very nice inside!

This place had all we needed. Liked having two living spaces and two eating areas. The mattresses were comfortable and futons were good for the grandchildren. The front and back landscape was not great, but didn’t spend much time either place. There were lots of towels and could use the washer and dryer if needed. The AC worked great. There were two nice size TVs and Roku, Netflix, and Slingbox available. The location was perfect for getting around. I would stay here again.
