Large spacious home and heated entertaining area! Large groups welcome!! Great for hunters, boaters, off road enthusiast or just a getaway. ORV trail right across the road. Public boat launch near by for all sports lake. Beautiful fall colors and great winter trails. Fire pit for those cool evenings available. Play area for the kids and large front yard for games. Come stay and enjoy the Up North! Up to 2 dogs aloud. You must pick up after them.
Large entertaining area- tall tables, large sofa and sitting area with table, full kitchenette w/large fridge, pool table.

Disappointed on cleanliness of home & property

Check in process was good. Arrived to the home to find sand on the floors. We had to sweep. Two of the four mornings we had mouse droppings on kitchen counters in the house. The property had tall weeds growing around home & the grill area was not maintained. The grill needs to be replaced. Wire is holding grates together. One of the bathrooms had yellow brown stains along the wall. Iā€™ve stayed at many VRBOs and have never encountered mice in the home we rented. This was unacceptable & made myself & other guests feel uneasy. Too bad as the location is good to Bear Lake & ORV trails.

Great place for SxS weekend. Trail is right across from the house. Garage is an excellent gathering and gaming space. Close to gas and restaurant too. Appreciate the hospitality! Will stay here again!

Perfect setting for your party

We rented this place in February and it was perfect for hosting a large group on guys. Almost feels like your own private bar! Would definitely come back and stay again. Jenny was extremely accommodating.

Hunting families trip

We had a great time at our trip we love this house šŸ  also is the best place for hunting all the state lands are awesome only one thing I will recommend for homeowner to add spoons forks plates, pants, a lot of more kitchen stuff are missing and need to be added. Other than that. The house is gorgeous and weā€™ve been there more than 6 times thank you.

Family Reunion

We come to the Blue Bear Hideout every year for our family reunion. The place is perfect to fit a group and has everything you can think of to have a good time. We spend all our time in the garage - what a blast! Highly recommend ā€œGarage Pongā€ for those that are not skilled ping pong players and end up hitting the ball off the garage floor most of the time. Jenny is great and very easy to communicate with. We will be back again next year!

Nice little getaway!

The property was as advertised. The first floor primary bedroom was nicely appointed. The living room was good as well. The game area was very nice for the evenings when the mosquitoes came calling. A couple items to note. There are 3 additional bedrooms downstairs. The one at the foot of the stairs was nice. The other two did not have ceiling insulation and the walls did not go to the ceiling; you could basically hear any conversations going on upstairs or downstairs. Basement was a little musty smelling as well. Limited utensils, in fact no butter knives , just plastic and the fry pans definitely have seen better days. Jenny , the host was very responsive. And answered any and all our questions.

Great group location

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was clean, easy to use, and exactly as described. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions and very helpful. We had plenty of space for the dog to play and so many activities to keep everyone busy even on the rainy days. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonder experience!!

Our stay was amazing. The host was extremely accommodating and took care of all our needs. The home fit our group well and provided plenty of space to spread out and make memories. Located less than an hour from traverse city and a short drive from bear lake, beach days were very enjoyable. The property was clean and well kept. Lots of kitchen storage and counter space as well as outdoor grill made big meals a piece of cake. Large TVā€™s throughout the house were amazing for entertainment and movie nights. Pool table and ping pong in the garage were a big hit and drew people outside, as well as the screen garage door for an indoor/outdoor experience. Overall we would absolutely recommend a visit at the Blue Bear Hideout!!

Great place to stay to ride your sxs. Trail right across the street. Nice open floor plan house and the garage is a great place to hang out later with lots of room. Also plenty of parking for trucks and trailers
