On July 21 we arrived the Kailua-Kona just after 4 PM and discovered we had the dates wrong when we opened the door and it was not clean. We immediately closed the door and we then contacted the owner to see if it was possible to get it cleaned and pay for that night. He said he could not get it cleaned but offered to let us go to Walmart and get supply’s and clean it ourselves if we wanted to. We thanked him and said no we were tired and just wanted to crash.The next day (July 22) we arrived back at the condo at about 4:15. Upon entering we were not happy with the cleanliness of the condo. We contacted the owner and let him know and told him he could re rent it to someone else if he wanted.This is what we found. The toilet bowls were clean on the inside but not the outside. There was black mold around the shower. The carpet was filthy. (no way could you take your shoes off). All of the a/c filters were in really bad need of a good cleaning. We had my 5-year-old great grandchild with us and didn’t want to expose her to the mold and how do you keep a child off the floors. He offered to send someone over the next day to re clean. We said no thanks. We sent pictures via the web site so the owner could see what we found.The pictures on the site make the place look really nice. However, the living room curtains were full of holes. The pretty Hawaiian print on the sofa was gone. It was replaced by some dingy Tan knit covers. It was no up to the standard we exp
