"I had a room with a balcony and I thought the rooms were nice. I was visiting from USA and enjoyed my stay here. I had a WiFi problem and they switched my room instantly. The breakfast was nice and had plenty of options. Also room service was good as well. The men up front were very helpful with my luggage I had with me. And were helpful with all you needed to know about the room with the short room tour they give. "

"There are two Kakwele Lodges. The one we stayed at was further from the airport in a back street of Lusaka, about a 20 minute drive. We were charged $15 for each of the 4 journeys to and from the airport, which I considered to be excessive. The room at the lodge was adequate, but a little cramped (especially the shower). But it's in an odd location far from almost everything (it was close to a residence I was visiting). But it's so quirky- some rooms have no external windows. "Nice and quiet place. Good value for money - as compared to much more expensive hotels in town. Friendly and helpful staff. Example: I was asked if I wanted my rental car washed, but I didn't feel that I needed that, so I said "no, thank you". A short time after the staff member was busy washing my car, and of course I paid him a few Kwacha. The morning I was about to leave, he again was washing my car (which didn't look dirty at all).
