Fabulous stay at The Whaler 813! The sunset views from the balcony were beautiful. The unit was clean and well-stocked. The host replied promptly when we had a few questions. Overall, very happy with our Maui vacation and would totally book again!

We stayed in condo 813. We also stayed in the same one last year. Just like last year it did not disappoint. Perfect location for seeing whales and being on the beach. The process from booking to leaving was amazing and simple. I cant wait to come back. Defintly would recommend this place to anyone. The condo was amazing. Aloha. again.

Great time to visit

Very well maintained by friendly staff. Good snorkeling off Kaanapali, better snorkeling at Napili and Kapalua- but it was all very relaxing.

Great family vacation

We loved everything about this resort it was quiet in the evenings the pool right at the front of the hotel was fabulous. The grounds were very well-maintained. The front desk staff were so nice. We will definitely be staying here again. We also love the free complementary breakfast coffee every morning at 6 AM down in the lobby.

Beware!!! Not worth the money

Upon checking in we examined the room. We found the bathroom filthy with a large amount of hair on the floor. The shower handle was falling off. The toilet was dirty and ran constantly. The old carpet was soiled and ugly. The owner needs to spend some money and install laminate flooring. The bed skirt was old and torn. The linens were dirty and needed to be replaced. This was unit #813 not managed by Aston. Dont waste your time renting other units not managed by Aston. Beware and check before you sign up

Love the Whaler property but very disappointed in room 813

My fiancé and I have stayed numerous times at the Whaler in Kaanapali, we love the property but we were disappointed in the state of this room 813. For the price you are paying per night I would expect the small details to be better attended to. The bathroom had a damp/musty smell. The shower could have been cleaned more thoroughly. It took a minute or more for hot water to come through the taps, my father in law had to have a cold shower at one point. The toilet would constantly run after flushing unless you jiggled the handle a bunch. The AC was not working properly and barely cooled the room when set to the lowest temperature possible (65F). One of the king sized sleeping pillows had a regular sized pillow case that did not fully cover the pillow (which is gross when they have multiple guests sleeping on these). The main door did not close fully (to lock it) until forcefully pulled shut. They supplied a coffee maker but no coffee filters. Carpet is outdated and pretty gross. Mostly little things but still disappointed for the price you are paying! Recommended the Whaler 100% but I suggest finding a different room.

Absolutely beautiful

What a perfect place to stay. the unit was beautiful and the view incredible. Extremely convenient to the beach. I have nothing but good to say about this place. So glad we came!

This was a great u it in a great location. It definitely needs more cooking supplies. Bowls, Tupperware or something!! Also we stayed for 12 days and it didn’t come with any cleaning so we had to wash our own towels etc.

What a great company and what a great place to stay. Our unit was not ready when we arrived and they immediately upgraded us to an apartment that was ready. Super accommodations overlooking the ocean. Jessica was great to deal with. Give them five stars and we will definitely return. Restaurants and entertainment within a rock throw.

Amazing view and comfortable living space

Condo is just as described and photos are accurate. Great space and within walking distance to shopping, great restaurants and of course close beach access. The beach is very swimable and gets lots of sun. Modern ammenities were appeciated, such as the beach towel service and friendly hotel staff. Would definitely recommended this unit to anyone!

Perfect for two!

My husband and I stayed in suite #813 for 2 weeks on our honeymoon from June 11-26, 2018. We have stayed at the Whaler previously, and love the location! It is close to everything and is right on the beach. The studio suite was perfect for our 2 weeks, the view was great and we had perfect a perfect spot close to the elevator. The suite has chairs you can take down to the beach and use, along with water toys and sand mats. They didn't have an umbrella but we found a cheap $20 one and left it. There is a cooler you can use when going to different beaches or on day trips. Unfortunately, our first few days the hotel was fertilizing the lawns and it smelt terrible! But after 3 or 4 days the smell went away. We were a little disappointed that the pool/hot tub area was closed at 10 pm, we went to sit int he hot tub one night at 11 pm and got kicked out(the gentleman was very nice about it). The BBQ areas were fantastic, we loved being able to make our own meals right on the beach. We will definitely be back!!
