Julian is amazing for hiking, food, stargazing, and much more.
This is a very special cabin & not just a place to stay.
We have laboured to offer an experience, not just a place to sleep.
This is a historical cabin built in the 1950's. It's complete w/ antiques & classic books. It even has a restomod antique phonograph that you can plug your phone into. Trails close by. Walking distance (1.5 mi) to Julian Center. It is very quiet and secluded, with/a beautiful hammock. Full kitchen, claw foot tub, original outhouse w/ Turkey & Deer trails

You have chosen one of Julian's nicest two-bedroom 5-star rated cabins. Built in the 40's and completely upgraded in 2020, this cabin is very secluded & quiet. It's only about 1 mile from downtown Julian. It is a very quiet area too!

Trails are all around & it is very close to Volcan Mountain Preserve, which is an amazing place to visit and hike. The ceramic wood stove gives it a most special ambience.

A wonderful deck with a new patio furniture are outside. Inside are many antiques and historical information about Julian. Washer and dryer in shed for you use if needed.

A high-quality hammock is also in the shed for your enjoyment. It goes between the 2 trees to the left of the shed and faces it.

A Propane BBQ and Firepit are yours to use and enjoy

The first room next to the bathroom has a beautiful and comfy queen size bed (new mattress)

The 2nd bedroom also has a new queen size bed and a large TV

Each bedroom has a TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and youtube TV.

Wifi is free!

Please note there is a separate charge for wood (if needed).

You need to tell us if you want to pay $15 to use our wood or bring your own. Firestarters are also included with the wood purchase.

There is a pet fee for each pet per stay. So, you must use our link to pay for more pets than one.

There are no refunds given for this property after check-in

Our house rules: The primary renter must be 25 or older, smoking is not allowed, no parties or events are allowed, and pets are permitted.
$150 fee if you smoke anywhere on the property. High fire area.
There is a nest security outside that you can unplug outside the cabin
Extra persons brought after booking will be charged $25 per night per person against the deposit.

Although just a one night stay, the cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. Cozy, clean, spacious and decorated with a wonderful collection of antiques and just about everything you need to make the stay comfortable inside out. The AC/mini split system provided the warmth we needed as the temperatures dropped after sunset, as did the propane fire pit outside. My wife and I agreed that we need to come back soon and stay for a longer period.

This is the cutest little cottage nestled in the woods. We loved the antique and rustic feel. It feels like you're getting a hug when you're in the home. The best was leavingn the screened windows open to hear the frogs and other nature sounds as you fall asleep. We could have used an extra night to sink into the comfyness.A criticism I have is yes, it's clean, however, the kitchen needs reorganizing. The cupboards are a mess inside. It's 2025 and the coffee they provide expired in 2023. The creamers were way beyond their expiration date as well. Every drawer and cupboard are packed with old and random utensils, pans, etc. It's all mixed together and doesn't look very appealing to use.This is a nice place. If a kitchen clean-out is done, this place would be fabulous.

What a cute, comfy cabin! My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here and thought the location was perfect for exploring the Julian area. The 1950s decor and books detailing the local history were fun. The host was very helpful with any questions we had (especially getting the wifi rebooted!) Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay! We liked sitting on the deck and watching the birds and enjoying the pleasant weather in the morning and evening. We were happy the air conditioner was on when we arrived as the weather was quite warm in the afternoon. We had difficulty finding the house because the sign is not easily seen. When we re-read the instructions, we then found the house. The parking is up a steep driveway so after the first go round we chose to park on the street. The bathroom is off one of the bedrooms, so it is inconvenient to use for the person staying in the other bedroom. The deck could have some of the boards nailed down better. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in amongst the pine trees!

We loved our little getaway to this special Cabin in Julian Ca. Everything was clean, cared for and very on point with the 50s cabin theme. John was attentive, helpful and easy to reach. He let us adjust the reservation last min and we loved reading about his personal family history and reason for buying the cabin. It was secluded, private but very close to everything in town. Just what we were looking for, we will definitely be back!

Lovely cabin for quiet evenings

We stayed for one night on our way from LA to San Diego, in the hopes of seeing some stars. The place felt like the lakeside cabins I used to visit in the summers growing up - no frills, but tons of charm. A place meant for taking things easy and slowing down. It was a little small for our party of 4, but that was largely due to my toddler (18 months) being frustrated by the lack of space to run around. The children loved the vintage tinker toys and dominoes, and the hammock.Once the sun finally set, we got what we came for - an inky sky sprinkled with stars. Unfortunately, our daughter was so tired she doesn't remember, so I guess we will just have to come back again!

I was at fault. I should have told John that my husband was a little handicapped. Lugging all the equipment up and down the stairs was a challenge but I did it. The cabin was wonderful and very comfortable to be in. If and when my husband gets along better, we would not mind staying there again. Thank you

Great little get away spot

Owners have done a great job at making this cool little funky cabin an enjoyable place to get away. It was clean and comfortable. Great water pressure, claw foot tub, decent AC, patio deck with a bbq and fire pit. We had access to a washer/ dryer as well. Plenty of clean linens and new mattresses (although the main bedrooms bed was a little soft for my liking) I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again..money well spent.

Very nice stay

This little house is adorable! All of the decor are antiques or vintage. The surroundings are very relaxing. Definitely not accessible for someone who may be older or have trouble getting around. It was quite the chore getting our belongings inside, but other than that, it was very nice. Perfect distance from downtown Julian.

Sweet little time capsule!

Very quaint! Beds are comfortable, hot water quick!! Very interesting decor! The fun entertainment of listening to vintage vinyl was nice! Bring some CDs or vinyl ( or buy some at the antique stores nearby) the town of Julian has lots of great food and shops! Our Host was very helpful! Enjoyed our stay!!

A quaint, cozy, and quiet getaway

This little cabin is filled with antiques that remind you of simpler times. It is a great place to retreat from the busyness of life while still being close to Julian and nice hiking trails. Communication with the hosts was great! Check-in and check-out were seamless. The cabin was clean and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would recommend!

Weekend Getaway

I had a wonderful, quiet stay. The cabin was very comfortable and true to the listing. I felt welcomed and relaxed and throughly enjoy my time at the cabin. I am looking forward to returning for another getaway and bringing my family with me.
