Welcome to The Mark, a modern hideaway crafted for the Joshua Tree landscape. This monolithic new build is made completely of concrete and feels peaceful, stylish, and quietly romantic, set on open desert acreage with sweeping mountain views. Mornings unfold slowly on the patio, evenings glow beneath vast starry skies, and every moment invites deep rest and reconnection.



The Space:

Set on 1.18 private acres, this thoughtfully designed 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is made entirely out of concrete, keeping the home naturally cool, quiet, and energy-efficient. A striking 17-foot bifold door opens the living space to panoramic desert scenery, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. Raw concrete textures, tall ceilings, moody tones, and north-facing windows frame expansive desert and mountain views while filling the home with soft natural light. The atmosphere is calm, grounding, and restorative, ideal for slowing down, reconnecting, and embracing the quiet beauty of the desert. From hikes through Joshua Tree National Park to soaks in the hot tub under the stars, built for comfort and sustainability, The Mark is a serene retreat designed to highlight the beauty of the desert.



-Outdoor Amenities-

Set on 1.18 acres of open desert, the outdoor spaces feel expansive and private, with uninterrupted mountain and desert views in every direction. A six-person spa, fire pit, and outdoor lounge area create the perfect setting for sunset cocktails, stargazing, and cool desert evenings. The climate lends itself to golden sunsets, breezy nights, and brilliant stars, while a short drive brings you to Mas o Menos in Joshua Tree for relaxed breakfasts or evening drinks.



-Living Area-

The living area is moody yet welcoming, with soaring ceilings, expansive views, and dramatic natural light pouring through the 17-foot bifold doors. Earthy tones and natural elements like a stone coffee table ground the space, making it equally suited for cozy nights after exploring or slow mornings with coffee and desert views. A large smart TV with soundbar, a portable Sonos speaker, and a pull-out couch provide comfort, entertainment, and flexible sleeping space.



-Kitchen & Dining-

The chef’s kitchen is modern, open, and designed to flow seamlessly into the living space. Ocean Silver travertine countertops, striking stainless steel appliances, and a gas stove make cooking effortless and enjoyable. The island doubles as a casual breakfast bar, while the coffee setup includes a Keurig with pods provided. Just beyond the bifold doors in the living room, an outdoor dining table for six and a BBQ invite open-air meals under the desert sky.



-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-

Both bedrooms feature king beds and are positioned on opposite ends of the home for privacy and balance. Each feels like a serene personal retreat, with large north-facing doors to the patio that welcome in desert light and views. The primary suite includes a private en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom also has its own attached bath that conveniently serves the living area as well. Both bathrooms are spa-inspired, finished with modern earthy tile and walk-in showers designed for relaxation.



-Surrounding Area-

The Mark is ideally located near the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and the Indian Cove Campground, offering easy access to world-class hiking, climbing, and otherworldly desert scenery. The nearby town of Joshua Tree has a creative, laid-back vibe with artisan cafes, vintage shops, local markets, and handmade art. The surrounding landscape feels expansive and awe-inspiring, framed by rugged mountain ranges and endless desert horizons that invite exploration and reflection.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that there is a supply closet on the east side of the home and a sealine container that are locked that house supplies for the rental.



The Neighborhood:

The Mark is situated in Panorama Heights - one of the most sought-after residential areas of Joshua Tree. It is located just 4 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that The Mark is in a remote location, and the last 0.4 miles to the home is a dirt road, so please take it slow. The dirt road is maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road condition varies and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.



Other Things to Note:

-Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Dogs-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Cameras-

There are security cameras facing the driveway and front outdoor areas for security and in order to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. There are no security cameras inside or facing any private areas of the home, such as the hot tub area.
